Ok well we have an update but we don't know if it is a good thing or not. Last night we got an email from CSC (bit of a surprise, I can tell you, but there you go).

It said:

Dear John [surname],

The I-485 in question is currently under review. You should receive a

decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this

letter.

Sincerely,

[officer's name]

Congressional & Customer Service Division

California Service Center

USCIS/DHS

The last update we got from anyone was a letter from Senator Feinstein at the end of May saying we were still stuck in FBI Name check. So if anyone has ever had a response like this and knows what it means, please let us know.

We don't know if this is a positive update or not, so haven't really let ourselves get excited.

Input and good luck vibes would be appreciated :P because, after over 10 months waiting to be approved, it would be nice to know that the finish line is in sight.

Woooppppeeee!!!!!! Green card ordered! Now how is that to lift my spirits on a friday morning when I have way too much work to do and was feeling oh so tired. YES!

Sending out lots of good luck to all those waiting.... especially to those who have been waiting more than 6 months... just when you least expect it it wll happen to you too!!

Hugs

Maggie

PS so when they say can take up to 30 days to produce... what is the actual normal length of time? I go back to Scotland on Tuesday next week and would love to have it by then but I guess that is just not very realistic, will just have to use advanced parole on the way in to the USA again.... we are off to celebrate our wedding on that side of the Atlantic with friends and family who could not come over here last October... a good old ceilidh is the order of the day a week on saturday in Edinburgh.. yeay!!

Congratulations!

My I-485 is very similar to yours in terms of NOA1 date and CSC transfer date, but mine hasn't been approved yet. I'm also from North Carolina. My last touch was 1/20/2007. I'm wondering, did you get any touches before getting your approval notice? Also, did you get any help from congressmen?

In my online status, it states the following (as I'm sure it does for everyone):

On June 27, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions on this notice.

This tells me that they sent a notification by mail... I haven't received anything yet, maybe this week.

There's a press release on the USCIS website stating that they're having difficulty issuing paper notices at the CSC. It might be the reason why you haven't received anything yet....who knows!

Well as for myself my last update on USCIS is a touche from June 24th..

But today I received in the mail a Transfer Notice that my AOS has been sent to CSC. Notice date is June 28. So their website isnt very accurate and I didnt receive any e-mails either.
