Well, go figure. I sent a status inquiry email to the CSC on 6/26 at 1:45pm and last night, we received an email from CRIS:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On June 26, 2007, we mailed you a notice.... blah blah blah

Coincidence? Hmmm.

At least we're finally approved.

I sent an e-mail & never got a response

can someone supply the address again?

I am so happy for those that are receiving their approvals but......if my man doesn't get his EAD soon I am gonna snap!

Fortunately Annie is here and we have a lot of fun in life.

Neither did we. I actually didn't give it a thought until I saw someone post an email address for CSC and then I did the math.... realized it was almost 6 mos since we filed. He already had is EAD and AP, so we weren't sweating the GC.

No they don't do the EAD's but I want to annoy them about the I-485

I just sent another e-mail, I swear that USCIS has something against the Irish

I think it's NSC or local offices, so e-mailing CSC about EAD will not help.

an approval for I-485 is what we really want. The EAD should be approved soon(at least I hope it is).

I just e-mailed again so we'll see what happens!

They say that but it's not true. we found that being short and sweet (ie: please can you give us an update on our case) along with including the full name, "A" number and receipt number usually generates a more "helpful" response.

I think it also may depend on which person gets your email. Feel free to try again and let us know how it goes.

I can only suggest you send it again and hope someone else answers it. Maybe it's just the luck of the draw.

And as comfort to you, there has been many a day I wanted to write them that very same email. 10 months and counting and I still see people posting after the ink is barely dry on their forms that they haven't heard anything and they are stressing out. Sigh!

Anyway, at least you know you are not alone in this. It is something I, myself, am very thankful for.
