We MAY have good news as far as finding James' medical goes but it was unofficially told to us by someone not in USCIS and so we are waiting to hear officially from USCIS about it, so keep your fingers crossed! Also, we are about to renew James' ead (I swear if his greencard comes shortly after the medical situation is resolved and before his EAD expires in October I will be SO pissed we wasted 180 bucks, but also glad for the greencard of course) and I have some questions I posted in the working and traveling prior to getting a greencard forum so if anyone wants to mosey over there and help me out with my questions I'd really appreciate it :) I don't think that forum gets much attention but I didn't want to post my questions in the wrong forum just in case.

They lost your medical, you complained and they "found" it??? Who did you complain to? They have lost mine too!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i beleive that come october the cost of the ead will be considerably more than $180. The price increases are due next month i think.

Well we were going to file on Monday to avoid price increases but now that won't be necessary because....card production ordered! :dance: Now, as for the story about the medical...

Like James has posted and I have as well, his medical was lost, as many peoples are, and of course I was furious, as everyone who this happens to is as well. James happens to have a family friend in the Department of State, and seeing as the letter said that was who lost it (or it was out of date, which shouldn't have been the case) we decided to call him before forking up the money for a new medical. Amazingly this friend was able to call high ups in USCIS and after a couple weeks was told they (USCIS) had located James' medical across the country (still in JFK I imagine, assuming they meant across the country from where his case is at CSC) and would contact James to let him know, telling this family friend not to tell him (even though obviously he did) since it would "undermine their authority" or something like that. I'm not sure if USCIS said this or the friend guessed this, but either way we have been waiting a few days to hear from USCIS. I thought it would be too good to be true for them to say oops we found your medical, our bad, and it kind of was since they never did say it, they just emailed me saying card production was ordered :) Don't put us on approved until that card comes in the mail though, I won't believe it till I see it. We are moving this Saturday but luckily will have the keys to our current place thru July but I hope the change of address I just filed with USPS won't mess up getting the greencard!

Thank you for filing in your time line, It seems as though you are kidding. But you really have no room to complain yet. Your not "outside" of processing times yet

I know I'm not "outside" of the times yet, but just getting a tad bit anxious! So many get approved so quickly, yet so many wait for such long periods! At least this time I'm waiting w/ him here, not there. (L)

I'm out outside of time yet either but yes, it is nervewracking. I can't even begin to imagine being in John & Annie's situation. All I can say is that they must have the patience of Job.

Well, go figure. I sent a status inquiry email to the CSC on 6/26 at 1:45pm and last night, we received an email from CRIS:

All I can say is for once, USCIS had good timing. We were going to file for his new EAD a couple days ago but I said oh why not wait till Mon, that will be exactly 100 days till the current one expires and we will be at our new address since we are moving this weekend. Thank goodness for that waiting or I'd be out $180 bucks for nothing! Just keep hanging in there John and Annie....I know that's extremely not comforting when you have no idea what is going on with your case or when it will be approved though!
