FYI....i got a call today from my senator's office....the girl had put in a request from them asking a update on my husbands case...they e-mailed her back and asked her not to inquire for another 180 days because they have been slamed with thousands of petitions....she said normaly they ask for 60 days...but they are really back logged....she then said she thinks they asked for that long just to be on the safe side...

so i hope that info helps everyone wondering about their case and when it will be aproved or touched

So just to be clear, it looks like transferees are getting emails indicating that their cases have been rec'd be CSC. Has this been the case for all transferees? Thanks-

I received an email saying my case was "pending" at CSC. Not sure if there's a difference between "pending" and "received", though. One thing's for sure, we know that the pending email means it's been received. :lol:

Why are you contacting your senator's office? You applied for AOS like 2 minutes ago. Am I missing something?

Why are you contacting your senator's office? You applied for AOS like 2 minutes ago. Am I missing something?

That's exactly what I was going to ask. Senators offices have important things to do, why are you giving them extra work when you have only been waiting two months?! Save your inquiries for when your case is long past due (even though AOS doesn't have due dates, but there are at least normal timelines). I know we get pretty impatient during these processes but cmon, two months?

We didn't get the email until a few months after it was received, sometimes they just forget to send it I think.

I have received a notice our case was forwarded to CSC but never received a "received" or "pending" email. Its been more then 30 days. Do I worry or just do what I've learned to do well ... WAIT?

A lot of us are in this boat...they're slowly getting to notifying people that their cases are currently pending at CSC. I'd give it another week or two before contacting them.

10/23/2006 - I-129F approved (97 days from CSC)

AOS

03/03/2007 - Married!

03/14/2007 - I-485 + I-765 sent

03/21/2007 - NOA1, Checks cashed

06/01/2007 - EAD card production e-mail received (74 days)

07/27/2007 - EAD RECEIVED (57 days after approval)

11/29/2007 - Infopass appointment - file was sent to a storage facility before it was finished processing.

05/28/2008 - Received AOS Interview notice

07/10/2008 - AOS Interview-APPROVED pending fingerprints

09/22/2008 - GREEN CARD IN HAND!

Removing Conditions

06/04/2010 - Sent I-751

06/07/2010 - NOA1

Nothing to report on this end, but I did think it interesting that CSC are swamped and at least have the good grace to admit so. Probably the only decent feedback any of us have had in a while. And, much as I love to know that we are stuck in FBI Name Check (better than not knowing), I have something of a compulsion to scream when I read the online status that only ever seems to say "this case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred".

On a good OT note it's my brother's birthday today, but on a bad OT note he got into an car accident last night and my dad tells me today the car is pretty much a writeoff. Luckily the airbags work (his words, not mine), and little brother walked away without a scratch on him.

Now if he can just shake off some of that good luck sprinkle dust on all those "pending" AOS applications...

Wait, I thought they were sending cases to CSC to reduce backlog, not create a new site of backlog. What am I missing?

That was the initial idea..however, perhaps they have simply just sent too many cases to CSC now and they cannot cope with the sheer numbers.

hey, good news finally, this list is looking a lot more positive than the last time I checked... seems like a few of the long standing cases have been recently cleared with august being the oldest one pending.... Goodluck to us all!

K1 Application

23 Feb 2006 - I-129 mailed

14 August 2006 - Approved!!!! :-)

21 October 2006 - Married in the mountains of North Carolina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AOS Application

6 November 2006 - Applied for AOS, EAD and AP

09 Decemeber 2006 - e-mail received to say case was trasferred to California

16 December 2006- biometric appointment in Charlotte, NC

20 Jan 2007 -AP approved

24 Jan -EAD approved

28 June -Green card ordered

7 July wedding celebrations in Scotland

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer
