I got my green card today!!! Everything looks good, DOB, gender, name and so on. I finally get to see it with my eyes and I now know why people think is such a cool piece of plastic!

I also got a letter from the GA senator I had contacted few weeks ago, asking to inquiry about my case. Together with his letter, I got I print out of an email sent to the senator by CSC, as a response to his inquiry. The email says that my case had been approved and the card had been sent to my address.

I actually believe that getting the senator involved speed up my case. I wish I had done it sooner!

I FINALLY got my Green Card today, it expires in 2016!!!! I am sooooo relieved, It feels like a rebirth.

Here's an update: I emailed CSC a while ago, I didn't receive a response for 7 business days, so I had a go at it again. Then I received a response the very next morning. I guess my case was sitting in the file room somewhere awaiting security checks (that have now cleared). M. Bueno says it'll be sent to a monthly processing shelf (monthly?!!), and then I should expect a response in 60 days. :blink:

No, it will transferred from Chicago to CSC in September last year(Chikago keep this 6 months) :angry:

We had two RFE.Last RFE(medical form) we sent March,17. And I don't know howe long time waite more :(

This last email from CSC:

"On March 28, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or

information. It is taking between 270 and 300 days for us to process this

kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the

remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this

message. You will receive a written decision on this case."

I know,that my security check(FBI) done(Apr,11)...

I'm have tikets to my country(May,30).And I'm so worry :(

May be somebody knows,how long wait after FBI check???

It seems people with k-1 visas are getting approved fairly quickly after being transferred. I think an approval will arrive very soon for you!
