Our case was transferred to CSC on 4-16 but I never received notification that it was received by CSC. Who do I contact or is this within the normal time frame it takes them to respond?

Also, can you tell me if the name check process for the green card seems to run fairly much the same as what you waited through for the visa?

Thanks.

From my understanding the name check is pretty much the same, but this one is done by DHS and the visa one was done by DOS. Apparently the two do not communicate. DHS wants their own check done regardless of what was done previously.

you waited through admin processing to obtain your visa which has little to nothing to do with namecheck stateside. most people are cleared somewhere between 2-6 months on average.

Not true.

The Name Check for AOS is much more exhaustive. There have been several thread that have discussed the process. You can search for those or perhaps some kind soul will provide the links. I do nat have them of I would provide the links.

t4e & carshel are talking in terms of what they went through prior to visa issuance (admin review/processing)... quite unlike simply supplying police reports as in other countries. i can tell you, as they can, the check prior to visa issuance was QUITE exhaustive ;) (albeit different - as carshel explains)

We never received a physical letter either saying it had been received AND my status online has not been updated to "pending". It still says "transferred". Can I start to panic yet? It's been a month since the transfer.

We never received a physical letter regarding the transfer of our files. We did get a confirmation email from CSC that they received our files about 3 days after we received the first email about the transfer.

More importantly, we never got an email about the approval of our I-465 neither was our online status updated to show the approval. We just received the Welcome Letters in our mailbox. :) (Lovely surprise!).
