OMG! I HAD GIVEN UP ALL HOPE!!!!!

Came home to find 3 emails that AOS approved for my wife TODAY 2/1/06!!!

Every once in a while there is a PARTIALLY intelligent person at CSC...

Off to celebrate!!!!

WOO HOO!

I don't understand this whole process....how do people get transferred to CSC and get approved without interview??? Like...do they send more proff when they file the AOS?

Maria,

It seems to be pretty random but there are some Local Offices who consistently seem to transfer their cases to California. So take a look through the list of tranferees and see if your Local Office ever does this.

As for sending in more proof, they do not ask for any proof on the AOS and therefore it would be unwise to send it. They are pretty specific on only sending what they ask for with the application.

We had an RFE in February and as a result had to send in our 2005 Joint filed tax return, as this is often strong evidence at the interview, we are hoping them having this already may get us transfreed to California. But so far no-one has been transferred from Oklahoma City.

FINALLY!!!!!!!

I came back today from vacation to find several emails in my inbox saying that a welcome notice had been sent for my AOS application. The date was April 19. I did not receive anything in the mail yet.

Does that really mean approval???? No RFE for medical or anything, right?

Go figure why it took them that long...

I got another RFE for a "properly completed " I-693 for because the submitted I-693 "does not show evidence of chest xray report and/or tuberculin test."

I'm not sure why they are asking for it, i don't have a copy of the submitted I-693 from the CS.... I guess I have to go back to talk to the CS and show her the RFE..

Today the case status for my AOS says that an approval notice has been sent on the 22nd! I feel much more comfortable with that message! I also got a RFE for my AP renewal... I am very curios to know what that is about, since I sent every single bit of information I had when I applied.

So it seems like there are only four of us who originally filed back in 2004 who were transferred to California and are still waiting for our AOS interviews or approvals:

Karenina 05/03/04

Kathryn41 07/23/04

Pooker 02/07/04

Pooker filed in Nashville and the rest of us filed in Atlanta. Don't know what it means except that we are all in the same boat - adrift somewhere in USCIS waters.

Kathryn, I believe both Karenina and Pooker already got some kind of progress on their AOS at CSC. I'm positive Karenina got a RFE less than a month ago, asking to update her financial papers. I remember Pooker getting something few months ago; I'm not positive about that, though. UK_geezer hasn't shown up since the beginning of April and got no updates, as far as I know.

I think you are going to hear something from CSC soon, but I hope it will be after or close to your second anniversary.

The welcome letter was mailed from Laguna Niguel on Apr 21st. I live in the Atlanta suburbs. You'll probably get it today. Congrats!
