Quick Question about removing Conditions and Vacation :)

I just got back from a vaca and this just stuck my mind for the next year :)

My 2 year conditional green card expires on 7/27/13. So I need to apply on like May 2013 right?... which means I basically need to forget about going on a vacation on Summer 2013? Even if I send the papers on like April still this process takes about 6 months so what would that mean, really i can't go anywhere? :(

any thoughts?

You can still travel normally while the ROC is pending. You will be given a one-year extension of the greencard that allows you to travel and work normally when you submit ROC.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
