Ok I found the reason in your other post. Sorry to hear about that, however, I can't understand why you would be so upset at NVC & the embassy. You didn't follow all the required steps, it's not their fault. But even with that, you are still getting through the process much faster than others that didn't expedite. Anyway, hope everything works out okay with your mother.

im upset because NVC send us email and mail also stating that the embassy agreed to the expedite and embassy says our case was not expedited and we call back NVC they said yes it was expedited also at the embassy and they agreed on it.and as what the NVC said i should have open appointment thats why they dont give me a date because embassy can just squeeze me in on their regular schedule but this is not what i got.they should not send me mails that my case is expedite so im not expecting that i can be home soon and not lose my job.

Ya know you should be very grateful....you finished the entire procees. Start to finish in 4.7 months.

Most people are still at USCIS at 4.7 months.....you got interview in 4.7 months.

After trying to research this by verbatims and just looking at many prior timelines I think the scheduling occurs more than just once per month on the second Tuesday. Pleanty of examples of schuling happening at the end of the month. I think maybe that since the scheduling originates from the embassy, that is more likely the cause for the delay. In Manila the embassy was closed for 7 days in August -5 due to monsoons/typhoons and flooding. Maybe the embassy is accomodating those unfortunate victims before releasing any of the October dates. If that were you I think you would want some consideration. This will all be passed before we know it.

hey here in india mumbai embassy also does not schudule interview..and also not any other country..so may be they are doing on some specific problem ..hope all will got in this weak..best of luck

updating my interview date: GOT AN EMAIL FROM USEM :We have waived the requirement of scheduling the applicants’ visa interview. Once the applicants have all the required documents and have completed the medical examination at St. Luke's Extension Clinic, they can come to the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Check-in Counter (Window 38) on any workday between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for the visa interview.,so well going tomorrow for the kids interview. GOD IS AWESOME

I'm glad you got an earlier one. I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with the cancer treatment and getting your kids over here. It's a very stressful situation. Good thing they expedited your case.

Our case was complete Aug 7 and I have been calling twice a week. Also calling State Dept. No help from anyone. In fact, I keep getting conflicting stories. One person will tell me that Sept is full and that they are not processing oct yet. another will tell me that info is incorrect and that they schedule constantly all month long, so there is still a chance that my wife can get in in Sept (yea right!). No one can tell me how many people are waiting in line in front of her or the capacity at the embassy or anything that matters... someone should know this.

I finally got fed up and called both of my Senators and my Congressman today. They are going to contact the NVC and the embassy on my behalf. Don't know if this will work but I figure it couldn't hurt. We'll see what happens.
