My fiance thinks she is bad in English as well even though she is pretty good at it. I know basic Tagalog and Bisaya but still not enough for a conversation. It does help though.

But the CO asked her what language she felt more comfortable in. She said English and they continued in English. He asked her where she was from and she said Compostela Valley Province, but the way she said it was Compostela Valet hahaha. So it had me laughing and she got embaraessed but the co had a good time laughing at us and ultimately we were approved.

Nothing around here is a silly question!

Most Embassy employees are bilingual. They speak English and the language spoken in the country they are within. So, usually for the interviews they make you choose in which language you'll want to have your interview in.

If you didn't speak English, they would ask you: how do you communicate with your fiance(e)?

Ditto.

Ask away. Always.

Like them on FB. While my wife and I were going through the process, they had 2 or 3 webinar things regarding Visa/immigration services. During one we were able to ask some questions directly to them during the live chat.
