NVC Payment

Soooooo, after the weekend euphoria we're back to earth trying to get everything straight.

Just a couple of questions?

1. can we just check if the NVC received the case by entering the NOA1 number in the automated message from NVC?
   
2. I thought we had to pay something to the NVC before they sent the case, but I can't find anything anymore
   
3. Kim makes just above 125% of the poverty level for 2 persons. Some months she works less and it might be insufficient. Is it handy to just add an extra affidavit of support from a friend?

yes, it looks like you will need a co-sponsor. You pay the interview fees when your fiance gets package 3 from your country's consulate.

No, there is no payment into NVC whilst the casefile is at NVC.

That's for other visa types.

The Visa Payment will occur in 'that country' where the interview takes place. Some countries have a payment agreement with a national bank, some countries can pay directly at the IV Unit - it all depends on what goes down at the IV Unit where the interview will take place.

The payment will be made at the consulate here in Amsterdam. I just got approived like you too and my interview will be at the US consulate in Amsterdam. Once your File gets to the Consulate in Amsterdam you will recieve a package that will tell you what to do. Good luck!!
