Haha! Serves them right really.

I had that trouble with T-Mobile yesterday. I called up to cancel the contract and to pay my final bill. They said to pay it in 30 days. I said ok but i wont be in the country so how shall i pay. She said "Go to a paypoint" :bonk: She then refused to send my final bill to my new address.

So they have refused to change my name, refused to change my address and refused to come up with a way for me to pay them. Im convinced they dont want their money!!

It's so unbelievably British! I got into a near-shouting match with someone at HSBC about moving money to the US. I called the main number and told them I wanted to authorise a broker to move my money. They told me I needed to go to my branch. I told them I now lived in America, and my old branch was in London. They said I had to appear in person at a branch. I told them this was a load of bull. They said I could go to the nearest HSBC USA branch... in New York! I told them to stuff it, I needed to speak to someone in my branch. I was told no. I reminded them I had over 25k in their bank and they needed to put me through to someone NOW. Eventually I spoke to a lovely Scottish woman at my branch, who sorted everything out via fax and email and was very apologetic.

Also, Islington Council ended up refunding ME 35 quid for overpayment of council tax.

Thats useless! My bank have been pretty good and just changed my address and said when i want to change it again, i need to write to them but they had my old signature on file from before i was married! Ive been signing with my new one since i changed it and not once has anybody questioned it being different. It was only because i was nosy and saw on her computer screen that i ever knew.

Im also sick of people assuming NYC when i say NY :bonk: Then when i say upstate they assume Buffalo! :help:
