Past Approval Date - Problem?

This is my first post. I am an American with a Jamaican fiance. Our petition was approved in April (and showed a timeframe VALID thru August 12, 2012) and my fiance received his DS230 Packet recently. He was unfortunately out of the country working in Canada with the Jamaican farm work program (work visa) when his packet came. He just returned this week and wants to fill out the Part 1 (DS230) and "take" it to Kingston to the embassy and speak to someone. Is that possible? He can prove his work caused him to be gone and hopefully it won't deny us continuing the process. I have heard its not really a big deal. I emailed the embassy twice to request an "extension" but they did not respond. they had responded to other emails from me. Possibly there is an unwritten process or this is not really a big deal and they let people continue processing as long as its a good reason???? I hope so.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bless

:wow: I am not sure, try calling USCIS, and see what they say to do for an extension, since the embassy is not responding.

We decided to not call attention to this and proceed. If it is addressed at the interview we can provide proof of his work this summer (airline ticket, visa, etc.). I think we will be OK but of course you never know.

Staying positive.

Hey Pinkrlion - it looks like we will be likely hitting our interviews around the same time. God willing. Bless your journey!
