Re just got his notice for the biometrics appointment! This is great b/c it is only two weeks from now.

The problem is, Re finally got a job, and his first day should be either Wednesday or Thursday. He had to struggle to get Friday March 10 off so that he could meet my family before the wedding. He tried for Thursday the 9th, but couldn't convince them. Well, now his biometrics appointment is on that date. So can we try to delay it by one day? What can we do?

I dnt know that it's possible, but the letter stated that if you had an accident it's possible to cancel your appt. and re schedule it.

No... You would have to arrange for another appointment... Who knows how long that will be.

Your spouse is going to have to try harder to get it off... if he explains that the US Government is requiring him to be there.. his employer may have a different opinion.

I actually called the USCIS number to see if he could change it, and they told me that we would have to write a letter to request a date change and then they would have to write a letter back with the new date and it could be months later. So he went to his employer and showed them the letter. They told him that it wouldn't be a problem, so we breathed a sigh of relief. Now hopefully he will get his EAD before his temp EAD runs out so that he can continue working.
