This probably isn't any surprise to veterans of this topic, but I'm nervous.

I have all the documentation, but I don't have a rent lease in our name. I have cancelled checks written for the rent. We don't have a lease, but a month to month and my landlord only wants my name on the rental agreement, so I xeroxed checks which have our names on the check made out to the landlord. We also have, pg and e bill, vespa, credit card, bank statement and phone bill in both our names. I hope that will suffice for the immigration officials.

One more question, are wedding photos necessary ( we have a few) and are we interviewed together or separately?

Any responses would be appreciated. I don't know what I would have done without all the VJer's here. Thank you, thank you!

Best,

(F):)

Have your landlord write up a letter stating that you've been renting since mm/dd/yyyy and that your spouse has been residing there since mm/dd/yyyy. You really want something about the two of you living there together.

Wedding photos family photos anything to prove yuor relationship. This was my main proof of the relationship as well as my kids birth certificates. We did not have a lease together nor banks together and we were approved.

The interview will take place in the other country. He is only asked to be there but most find they have better results if the American spouse is there for support. In that case they may ask you a couple questions as well and may only be about 5 minutes total.

The OP is going for their adjustment of status interview. They must both be there and it happens in the US.

To The OP> Couples are typically interviewed together. A few wedding pictures and some other photos of you together and with friends and family can be helpful if the IO wants to see them.

Have the landlady write you a letter stating that u r living there. You can write the letter and just have her sign it.

Take the wedding pics as they might want to see them. But they didnt see ours. I have never heard of them looking at any pics but u want to take them just incase.

WE were interviewed separately. He called me in first and asked me basic stuff. Then tried to scare me by saying my husband might be marrying me for GC only. lol. I just laughed and ensured him that i trust husband. Then he tried to pin point on stuff by saying i dont have enough proof and that if they find out I am doing a fraud they can put me in jail etc. Basically they try to scare u so if u r lying u will get scared and then they can judge. If your marriage is real, u have nothing to fear so whatever they say should have no impact on u. I just smiled at him the whole time cuz I was like "we are married and no one can stop us from being togehter". Then he changed completely and he was being all nice and stuff. lol. Then he asked me to go out and send my husband in. He did the same thing to my husband, tried to scare him. My husband was very confident. He said "i can sign a paper that says that if i am fraud, u can take my GC anytime". i gues that made the officer trust him. Then he told my husband that he was approved and he stamped his passport. then he came out and he was all nice to both of us. lol. I have heard that some plp get question asked like "what did u eat for dinner last night, how many windows are in ur room etc". He didnt ask us any of this.

I didn't have to go for interview since my case transferred to CSC but i'll based it on my cousin's and friends who got married recently.

Wedding pictures is a must! You have to bring a copies of wedding pictures. My friend failed to bring copies, she just brought the camera that has wedding pictures on it but they did not accept the in-camera photos as evidence. They will delay your green card and will tell you that they have to make decision for that.

Yes, They are going to interview you and your husband in a separate room.

My cousin and his wifey as well as my friend and her husband got interviewed in a separate room. Questions might they ask are very simple but you have to memorize your whereabouts in the last few weeks, like where did you eat 2 days ago? what color or kind of clothes you wore those days? what type of vehicle your husband drive? how many bathrooms or bedrooms you have in your house or apartment? etc etc...

Good luck! -)
