How do they get to these hotels? How do they pay for them? You have no clue about flooding, clearly. People are in shelters.

Again, how is insurance going to help? No one can get to their houses, you think insurance pays up instantly on their "word" that their house is flooded?

gee, that's a real conundrum there - how do people get to a hotel? i suppose they're just screwed, as there's no sidewalks, no cars, and no one can walk!

i've been through about half a dozen hurricanes in my lifetime and a typhoon in japan. i probably know a bit more about hurricanes and flooding than you do, so your attempt to portray yourself as an expert falls a bit flat with me.

Uh huh. Keep telling yourself that.

You didn't go through this hurricane. You have no clue about it, clearly. Whole parishes are flooded. Most people stay in shelters, where nothing is provided for you, but you would know that right? Hotels. There are roads and sidewalks, under water, yes. Their vehicles are also in the water. You are as uninformed as Gary & Alla.

Gary might be uninformed. Do you know Alla?

Actually most shelters provide food and as much bedding as possible. The one I helped run during Floyd even provided a pet shelter.

I bet you think insurance companies paid after Katrina too.

So... let me get this straight. The people who are "victims" of this hurricane were "victims" of the last hurricane and we're supposed to feel sorry for them?

That's like the people who still drive big ol' SUVs complaining about gas prices! "How could I know gas was going up to $4/gal again? Nobody saw this coming!"

your attempt to portray yourself as an expert falls a bit flat with me.

A fifth grader is more of an expert on hurricanes than those idiots. "During a hurricane, Mother Nature is going to f up your s."

EXPERT!

We need more victims in this country.

This is exactly the problem. We're so trained to feel empathy toward "victims" we forget how stupid most of them really are.

If you CHOOSE to do dumb stuff (like live in a place that gets flooded every few years, have kids you can't afford, buy/sell drugs for a living, depend on democrats to take care of you, etc.) then you need to reap the whirlwind (yes, pun definitely intended) in hopes that Darwinian Providence takes you out of the gene pool so your scum can't infect the rest of our posterity.

The one I helped run during Floyd even provided a pet shelter.

You weren't there, man!

Your comment is as relevant as a cop telling someone who had their car totaled that they've been in 6 accidents and their car was fine so theirs must be too and to move it out of the road.

Good job dodging the irrelevant insurance comment too.

I already told you the answer to this in another thread. Who asked you to "feel sorry" for anyone? I was addressing an idiotic comment about insurance...

I wasn't helping run a shelter during Floyd ?? I sure thought I was. It felt like I was. I am pretty sure I was.
