I am trying to put something together for everyone to benefit from. Those with interviews coming up, if you could see your way clear to scan a complete copy of packets 3 and 4 and email to me, I would greatly appreciate it. Delete personal information please before doing so. Packets from all consulates/emabassies is the goal. If you can PM me to let me know if you are able to do this I will PM my email addy to you. Also please mention the consulate/embassy the packets will be from so I have an idea of where I'm at.

I do have the links and packets from the consulates/embassies that have them available online. Most however do not and these are the ones I am after, or anything that is included in the packets that perhaps is not included in the packets available online. I'm wondering if the forms from the Ciudad Juarez site are current though. I ask because if you look at the date on the top of the 156K form, the expiration date is 5/31/04. So, we would need for someone who recently went to CDJ (or recently received paperwork from them) to double check and make sure these forms are the current ones being sent out in the fiance packets. If these are not the current forms being used at CDJ, then we can't use the forms available form the CDJ site.

I-156 forms are also being ousted in leiu of an eform that will have a barcode. This is applying to all nonimmigrant visas including the K visa and forms otherwise completed will soon no longer be accepted. Some have already gone over to using the eform. The vast majority (but not all) of embassy/consulate websites also now have indication of this with various start dates.

I do agree though that packets available online may not be up to date or contain all information that would otherwise be sent.

I don't have a scanner or fax machine now but once I'm back in the U.S. I can scan the copies I made of the packet 3&4 stuff for Ghana and then send it to you. This will be in January...I might need a reminder!

Not sure if this helps in place of scanned copies but here is what is included in the Ciudad Juarez fiance packet.

All of the paperwork in the envelope is exactly the same as on their website, but the copies are very bad and the forms are all outdated. I think it is much smarter to download from the site and only keep the "official letter" from the packet, especially with the new DS-156 rules effective Nov. 1

1) The letter: "This office is pleased to inform you that it can begin to process your fiance visa case. Please read and follow all of the enclosed instructions very carefully". The letter includes his case number.

2) Notice about payment of visa fee at Banamex - same as website

3) Instructions - same as website

4) Evidence to meet the public charge provision - same as website

5) Instructions for medical exam - same as website

6) DS-156 forms - "Solicitud de Visa de no immigrante" same as website, outdated and almost impossible to read

7) DS-156 form supplement "Solicitud de Visa de No-Immigrante para prometido" same as website, outdated and almost impossible to read

8) Letter of intent

A big thank you to anyone so far who has posted information or sent me scanned copies or links Still could do with others as what I have gotten so far is only a drop in the bucket. Please, anyone with upcoming interviews, if you could scan the packets prior to sending them off to the consulate, I would greatly appreciate it. IR/CR-1 packets would be great too, particularly if there is anything that is specific to that consulate.
