Hello everyone,

I just got an RFE last week. :bonk:

Its 4 paged RFE for proof of bona fide marital relationship.

Do I have to send everything listed on the RFE or just I what can??

I'm soo nervous because it's a 4 pged RFE & that I might not have enough evidence

Is this type RFE common?

They said they have received my marriage certificate. However in order to establish the marriage is bona fide, I must submit secondary evidence.

I have not sent in anything yet but here's what I have so far as proof:

>copy my marriage certificate ( again )

>my passport/passport stamps(copied all pges in book in color to prove)

>passport style photos of both of us (again)

> 6 photos of us together ( wedding, honeymoon,& other randoms)

>yahoo chats ( from before marriage till now)

>facebook

>online Phone call cards log

>Copies of my spouses school diplomas.

>copies of money transfer receipts

Is this enough?

Also are affidavits of marriage relationship required to send?? Or is what I'm sending as evidence enough information to prove our marriage?

As for all the evidence I will be sending will they returned back to me after NOA2 approval or after interview?

Sorry lots of questions but please any info will help! :help:

Thanks :)

Bless you all!

Would the fact that the beneficiary is from Yemen have anything to do with it?

I didn't receive a RFE, but when I sent in my I-130 we sent in: marriage license, proof of joint bank accounts, proof of joint credit cards, a document showing him as my beneficiary for life insurance and related benefits through my work (as well as a letter from my job and when the benefits began), and the same document from his work showing me as the beneficiary.

Just some other ideas....good luck!

HK, glad to hear they are at least looking at your application! Could you please tell us what exactly the RFE says you need to submit? What you've listed sounds fine to send to them. An affidavit or two from friends or relatives also wouldn't hurt. What about the people who were witnesses at your wedding? I think a few more photos if you can manage it would be helpful. Be sure to write the dates and locations of the photos on the back so they know what they are looking at. Don't send original copies of your evidence to USCIS. You save that for your husband when he goes in for his interview (you may need to mail him originals of some things). Check the CR-1/I-130 guide on this site: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1 - Don't waste any time getting this RFE in to your service center as they usually require that your evidence be delivered to them within 30 days of receiving the RFE (unless it says otherwise). Good luck!!

How is everything in Yemen?

My wife worked in Sanaa for 3 years.

It's not a good place at all now. My fiance's sister was just killed in a shooting right in the capital. She shielded her 12 year old daughter from the gunfire. Very sad. Those tribesmen (and select others in the country) are hell-bent on preventing development and progress. It's a damned shame.

Yes! Everything you have saved is all you need. I did not even have receipts and i was reaffirmed so your proof is even better than mine. All I sent was photos before and after our wedding, a letter of how we met and a sworn affidavit of how we met. and all the phone cards I could find cos we had nothing with both our names on it. So I sent all my bills and credit card statements showing my name change and thats it, so what you have is more than enough.

Yes...it is a shame.

I am so sorry to hear about your fiance's sister. I know it is bad there. My wife is still friends with the daughters of the former president.

My wife experienced bad things also....they had a bomb explode very near the hotel they were living at. Also the police station where she applied for her police clearance was bombed. Needless to say she wasn't able to get her police clearance.

Why would this make a difference...???

The Yemeni people and the Yemeni government is not what makes Yemen one of the top terrorist countries in the world.

It is the infiltration of the Al Qaeda militants that threatens this country.

Bless you

To be honest I really think that it has to do a lot with whom actually the adjucator is. I say this because when I sent in my I-130 initially, I only sent a photocopy of a wedding picture along with everything else like MC, BCs and so on.. But then again every case is unique..

Good luck on your journey!
