Anyways I just wanted to know if anyone here with same situation...

It is not common, but they can call to parents or anyone who could be involved in that case file to verify the authenticity. As far as there is concern about decision timeframe, it is hard to say! It all depend up to case to case.

I haven't heard of this but i had read your interview review and remember that in your interview they had issues with your parents not having met ? Do both your parents atleast know about you guys ?

I dont know this for sure but I dont think they can reject your case based on this. They could be suspicious because of this though I dont see how they can make this a case for being fraud. Parents dont always agree with what you want to do.

My fiance had spoken to a lawyer in the US before we filed our case and he said New Delhi Embassy is particularly paranoid with Fiance/Spouse visas

NOA1: July 18th, 2012

Touched: July 23rd, 2012

No RFE! So Happy :)

NOA2: Jan 25th, 2013 (191 days)

Interview : 15th March 2013 APPROVED

Visa in Hand: 22nd March 2013

i was thinking the same thing...tht they cannot make a decision based on parents agreement or disagreement...well my parents know about each other i have talked to them about him to them..ofcourse they are not happy at all that i m going for different culture marriage(not gujarati) but still at the end it is my choice n my life. so no matter what they have to agree at the end....n yaa his parents know about me ..well specially mom n brother..n they are fine..not sure about dad....

anyways hope they make the decision fast now....n hope it is positive...

also the thing is they maybe called because at the interview we actually said yaa they know about this..but we did not make it specific tht they are not happy at all...so maybe thts why i dont know...
