im getting antsy, I hope we end up with an october interview!!

i am looking over the managua consulate website and under the interview preparation section, it says the beneficiary has to bring their birth certificate and proof of relationship. I always understood that when you send in your packets to the NVC, they'd forward that to the embassy (along with the i-130 stuff) so they would obviously already have it. Should we get her birth certificate again? regarding the proof, we were already planning on doing the obvious and printing more stuff out... plus we have another photo album from our church wedding to go along with the civil wedding album. so i think we'll be okay there.

I had the same thought, but when I called my consulate they say '' u will get an appointment letter, which will have the documents u need to carry''.. on website its general for all. Depending on your case, they would ask the required docs, even if they ask something you have submitted...pls carry a copy of it

Weirdest thing I sent an email to Lagos to ask the million dollar question , Here's my email.

To: Lagos, IV

Subject: CR1/IR1 vs K1 interview slots

Can someone please explain to me the scheduling of interviews?

For a spousal visa that goes through NVC but still remains to be scheduled. But a K1 visa case comes to Consulate and jump ahead and gets an October interview. While I have had a friends who's case was complete since July 15th.

I have am almost at that stage of interview and fear waiting another 3 or 4 months for an interview. Yet if I was a K1 I would be scheduled within days. How is this fair?

I have some other friends who have had their case complete in early August yet they also still wait and we are seeing K1's get interviews.

When are interviews decided? We are told only the second of each month?

Is this true.

Thank you for your time answering my issue.

Thank you,

Well I get a response from Smart Core who I know schedules the K1 Visas and not sure about CR1/IR1. Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your email. Please provide the beneficiary's name in full as it appears on the petition and case number (the one that begins with LGS), so we can respond accordingly.

Sincerely,

I had to remove the logo here.

sent them an email last week with my case number and name asking them the same questions you asked

Wait...this doesn't make sense now.

Winnie you should be in the system for the consulate...even though your petition is still at NVC

Doesn't NVC even notify the consulate that our case is complete and to prepare a spot for our interview???

I think when NVC sends our petition to our various embassy, then the consulates puts our details in their system....

so while its still at NVC, the consulate don't have our details with them even if we provide our information, which shouldn't be the case because they should be working with ONE SYSTEM and be enable to provide us with information regarding our case

Well NVC told me they do not send our petitions to the embassy until we are assigned an interview date.

But how can we get an interview date if the embassy does not know that we are ready for an interview?

Ohhhhh my Lord....I become more confused everyday. :crying:

As we say here Winnie that would be too much like right.

It's funny.....on the Manila Embassy website it says...."When NVC is finished processing an Immigrant Visa Petition, the petition is then sent to the embassy where it will wait for an interview date to be scheduled".

I BEG YOUR PARDON.....?????
