NVC was saying they were going to continue scheduling through the 20th of this month. "If" that is true, that's great news. So far, they have continued to schedule past their notorious "2nd week period", so it seems safe to say they will probably schedule through this week. Good luck to you! We are praying!

Someone earlier had said that the reason someone else didn't get an October interview is because they "didn't make the cut-off date" --- and their case was closed, like beginning of September. So I was just wondering if there is a loose deadline of when NVC needs to close a case in order to have it in the queue for scheduling for the next month.

To be honest....there is a good chance you did not make the cutoff....

I know many that had case complete the first couple days of August that did not make the cutoff.

There are people that have had a cutoff date of 9/14 with an interview. I called again today, and they said they are not done scheduling yet

There's no cut off if there's interviews available than there's interviews available. I have seen people scheduled like for Nigerian in April got July dates and someone finished up in Mat and got a June. NVC told them there are cancels all the time and also people do get scheduked and don't like that date and change it.

People keep on wanting to compare embassies to each other and thats just not the case. It's apples and oranges some are busier than others. It's a known fact for Nigeria its a 2 to 4 month wait. Only by the grace of God all these blessed Nigerians got this October date with case complete within the last 6 weeks. Thats lightening speed for Nigeria. Don't know about the rest of the Embassies.

Don't loose hope just yet. Interviews started late in the afternoon on Thursday, September 13 and NVC stated they were continuing to schedule through the 20th. That's a full week. But keep in mind, if there are interviews to be had...they will continue to schedule them until they are all full. So keep your eyes open.

And look, it is not the end of the world if you do not make this round. I can tell you from experience, it is heart breaking and uncomfortable to wait the additional month, but you WILL get an interview date. Spend your time uplifting and encouraging others and yourself, make some friends on VJ and chat about how your going to prep for your wife. Check out airline tickets for the following month and plan for your wife to be home by Christmas! Your case just completed on 9/10. I was in your same boat last month. My case completed on 8/6 and I got my interview date on 9/13. I missed the September interview dates. You cannot let yourself get down, you've worked hard and came a very long way. Be proud of you accomplishments, console your wife and keep her cheerful and above all keep your own head up. We will all continue to pray for you and watch your progress!

I painted ceilings, cleaned out closets, threw away old dishes, sorted through dresser drawers, cleaned corners I haven't got to in awhile...and went about my daily work, home, take care of the kids routine like nothing special was happening. Now that the time has arrived and I took a month to do all that, I feel very prepared and comfortable for my husband to walk into his home!

All is well! You are going to be ready!

Based on history, its normal to wait 4-6 weeks after case complete before you get interview date assigned. We were hoping for some miracle, but thats not the case. no issues, will wait.
