Hi Dana, so how does one schedule a medical in Nigeria. I am currently abroad. Can i call schedule from abroad.

Has anyone received any Interview date notifications for October yet?

I wonder if they batch them all up during the scheduling period, and then email them all out in one big lump???

[edit] - Just got off the phone with NVC, they got a late start on the scheduling, but are underway now, and will extend into next week.

They push the email into a queue, and it gets sent within 1 or 2 days

Mumbai consulate usually posts the interview dates for Oct on 15th of this month right? If so then the scheduling must be going on but we are not receiving any emails from NVC....wow so many questions with no answers..sad stuff...frustrating wait

From my personal experience as well as observing the pattern since February, 2012:

1. Calling NVC does not help at all to get interview date soon. It's just going add more frustration.

2. NVC schedules interview date for Mumbai Consulate as soon as Mumbai Consulate gives them available slots for the next month.

3. I have seen NVC scheduling Mumbai consulate interview dates almost any day of the month. So it's totally pointless to predict the date.

4. Mumbai consulate posts interview date on their website in about 2 weeks from the time NVC has scheduled the date. That's the pattern I have observed for past many months. Usually they post 1st draft and final version in about 10 to 15 days from 1st draft release date.

5. Typically NVC schedules an interview date at least 2 to 8 weeks prior to your interview.

We are almost at September 15th and October dates for Mumbai Consulate are not out yet, so I suspect it's going to happen anytime from now.

NVC server updates all assigned interview date for the consulate at the same time. So all Mumbai applicants will receive emails around same day (time may vary based on timing when server releases automated email).

Your interview depends on your individual consulate. Certain consulates get back to NVC faster then others.

Not right now they don't. We are having an issue worldwide. See our spread sheet of those waiting for interview dates throughout this forum.
