is it not key to include which embassy as part of the data? i assume - perhaps incorrectly, that while the NVC schedules all immediate family immigrant visas interview appointments, the number of available slots at each embassy will vary widely one from another. am i wrong in thinking that it is of no use to me to know when someone is scheduled in the philippines, and how long they waited, if i am waiting for an interview in london?

Yes, the the number of available slots at each embassy does vary, I know that Kiev Embassy was not busy usually, but because of the green card lottery issues, its really busy there right now.

After seeing these results tonight, I'm not holding my breath. :(:cry:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/irstats.php?history=90 but I do have to say, I will be extremely grateful if I do beat that average 3.5 month mark for Nigeria :clock: . (Almost made me green when I found the results! Hope yours are better than mine!)

I'm praying for good results but I'm determined not to fall apart if it doesn't happen this week.

Well, Dana we are at nearly 3 months already

average for my consulate is 4 months 9 days. Average for your consulate 3 months 15 days.

I don't care if my wife's interview will be 45 days from now....I just wanna know the date.

I need some light to trickle through from the end of the tunnel.

Guys, you need to be patient. October is the start of the new fiscal year - FY -2013. So I think that NVC is waiting for the visa bulletin to come out before scheduling any immigrant interviews. Since all the employment based and family base categories are expecting visas to be available and some of them have been waiting for years. I think the interviews will be out this week.

Posted

Looks like somebody with a case complete of 08/06 already has an October interview. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=120142

Yes, but I'm not sure if they have special circumstances since they have been living and working together for years. They could have an expedited case. There is not enough information on their page to determine if their cases are similar to ours. I see someone already asked them about their interview date (maybe when it was issued) but they have not responded to that post. There is nothing else on their page but a timeline.

No you are not necessarily wrong about the different available slots at each embassy....this is just for a few of us "waiting friends" can watch together and support each other. If you are also waiting, you're welcome to join us. Good luck to you.

Gosh me too! I do feel very blessed to be ahead, and at the same time, very nervous about receiving an interview date in October. I mean...today is the 10th of September, unless an interview is scheduled after the 10th of next month...it doesn't leave much time to complete everything and get over there! Ya know?

Maggiep, where do you find this information? We've been asking questions to the reason for the hold up for two months now and the only reason the NVC will give any of us is "we only schedule interviews the second week of each month, for the following month".

The reason you've listed is a lot different from their reasoning. Where is this source, I like to take a look at it too! I'm sure D & G would also!

But that 105 doesn't really mean alot when people have delayed their own progress between NOA2 and interview means nothing. I want to see what the stat is "between Case Complete and Interview date". Thats the date we have no control over.

I know someone who has been at NVC since May. So see how stats F up eerything. And they are here on VJ. Another in "pending" has had interview but hasn't posted results yet. So 105 days. Actually this wait you guys are having is the longest I have seen on VJ seince I have been here over 15 months. The usual wait is 60 days or less.

So forget the stats.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

Morning D, have you heard anything about the new Fiscal 2013 year Maggiep is speaking of above? This is the first I've heard, but it would be nice to read about that also. Would provide a better answer for the delay than this "every second week" reasoning we've been given for almost three months now.

Are you now in "waiting mode"?

The start of the fiscal year is when all the "New Immigrant Visas" become available.

Many visa classifications have a set number that are issued each year, and october is when the new visas become available for those who have current priority date.
