The start of the fiscal year is when all the "New Immigrant Visas" become available.

Many visa classifications have a set number that are issued each year, and october is when the new visas become available for those who have current priority date.

So I guess the question is, do we fall into the category of "those who have a current priority date?"

For IR-1/CR-1 there are an unlimited number of visas avaiable every year.

So we do NOT wait for priority date to become current.

There is no cap on IR1/CR1 visas and it has nothing to do with visa bulletin.

Yes. But NVC schedules the interviews for the other visa categories and they have to do with visa bulletin.

Morning D, have you heard anything about the new Fiscal 2013 year Maggiep is speaking of above? This is the first I've heard, but it would be nice to read about that also. Would provide a better answer for the delay than this "every second week" reasoning we've been given for almost three months now.

Are you now in "waiting mode"?

My waiting this week is for "Accept" for AOS and husband mailed documents for IV Bill should get that thursday or friday. IF he mailed out today. So waiting I must.

I'm petitioning an IR-5 case so I'm not in the same category as the people in this thread. However, it seems like the trend is the same for IR-5 and IR-1/CR-1. NVC was sending out schedules only after a week or two of being case completed. But now, everyone seems to be waiting for a schedule date. As David&Goliath said, I just want to see an interview date. Don't care when. But you are also right that it also depends on your embassy. So, I'm adding another column for the embassy. Everyone else can fill it their embassy.

is it not key to include which embassy as part of the data? i assume - perhaps incorrectly, that while the NVC schedules all immediate family immigrant visas interview appointments, the number of available slots at each embassy will vary widely one from another. am i wrong in thinking that it is of no use to me to know when someone is scheduled in the philippines, and how long they waited, if i am waiting for an interview in london?

Just to say, I'm also waiting for an interview to be scheduled at London – and this totally comes into play. Apparently London isn't a particularly busy embassy, and those with case completes should get interviews in October or possibly November. She said they are now scheduling for London Oct interview. This according to the NVC operative, so could, of course, be rubbish/read from a script.
