Don't worry! Remember that NVC inputs manually so 20 days is why they are suppose to tell you if you look at my timeline they received my case on thev17th and I was assigned a case # and INN on the 29th. So you must keep calling and I'm sure it will be sooner rather than later!

Good luck on your journey!

thank you. nice to hear something encouraging on this site. and I am in their system I am waiting for an appointment letter or to be told my visa application was incomplete. i guess that's the next step get an apt letter, then send the children to get their medical with the apt letter. god willing they won't stretch this out and order a dna test. ugh been waiting since january 2012 ready for this to be over already. ready for my step children to come home with the rest of the family. they told me my affadavit of support was done perfectly which was freaking amazing since i did it myself with no lawyer and found it to be overwhelming and intimidating. that was probably the worst part of this whole process for me the AOS

What visa did you apply for? Would you please complete your profile with all that info? It may sound irrelevant, but it will help us help you good.gif

You should also create a Timeline, to get a better idea at estimated times.

The embassy doesnt communicate via the telephone. And the NVC can and has taken 20+ days to get the interview date in place. We all feel your anxiety. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen. Just relax and let everything fall into place.

What type of visa are u filing for? And sorry to say since you are filing for kids a dna test will be required. It might not put that much time on the overall process though. If they havent put ur case in the system yet u might have another month to be at the nvc stage. I know how u feel when they tell u 20 days to enter info. I wanted to tell them they need to invest in some faster typers...lol! I hope they dont drag this out too long for u! I'm waiting on an interview as well!

Hi people I don't konw the technological language and that's why i didn't do a timeline. i don't know the exact dates. I have been doing this all year. I-130 petition for alien relative. My husbend's children from his ex girlfriend of ten years. And I am in the system of NVC at least I sent them my visa application as i think one of the last things and i am waiting for what is next. And yes children and hoping no paternity test to cost me another 2000 dollars ugh. I have birthcertificates with the fathers name on them, that were not added later, school records with the father's name on them. plus letters signed by the jp from baby mama family and his family stating that he is the father and has been from day one. Why would you think that the embassy would make every single child do a paternity test. I can almost quote the website i have read them all so many times a paternity test is expensive and should only be used when other forms of identity are not available or suspect fraud.

Hey i went to make a timeline and it wanted all the personal information from me and i am not comfortable giving them the names and beneficiary number and stuff like that.....i don't really know the dates.... exactly i havn't been paying that much attention. how can jamaica make every single child do a paternity test regardless of situation? it seems that their own websites are full of #### then because it states that paternity tests may be used not indefinitley. otherwise why did i go through all the work of all the evidence and civil documents proving a bonidfide parent child relationship exists, school records, western union receits, letters signed by the jp, all to make this process go faster and save me the thousands of dollars it takes to do two paternity tests:(:(:( sadness

Since you applied for a spousal visa, I'll move your post to that part of the forum. You posted in the K1 visa area, which is for a different visa with different procedures. good.gifGood luck!

I called and they told me everything is complete! I did the application right! There are no problems! It's amazing because i didn't buy a lawyer that i did the paperwork right and they didn't kick it back or have problems......Or is that what the interview is for! This is going to be the longest wait of my life! They said they are still trying to get me an appointment in kingston......they told me to call back next week. Petition for I-130 alien relative.....I am tired of this process ready for kids to all be here together.

I firmly believe they do unnecessary things because they want the $$$.

I know my timeline sucks, but my husbands P.O.E was on January 7th, 2013!

Greencard in hand! After almost 4 years, WE DID IT!

I believe you are right this is what's showning on the site.

"However, due to the expense, complexity, and logistical delays inherent in parentage testing, genetic testing generally should be used only in the absence of sufficient other evidence (documentation, photos, etc.) establishing the relationship.."

With you having all the stuff that you have listed above. You have more than enough proof those are his kids.
