Just got this email.

"Thank you for your inquiry. Our records indicate that Form I-751 was approved and that your Permanent Resident Card is currently in production. Please allow between 60 and 90 days for processing."

60-90 days..(sigh)

Did you have to speak to a level 2 representative before they put in the request, or did the first level rep do it? We called once, and according to the level one rep, our case was still at the "acceptance stage". After being transferred to a level 2 rep, waiting 45 mins on hold, we were told that the case has been approved, but we need to keep waiting for card production.

Barryfaetheus,

It sounds like we spoke to the first level rep. Because the lady I spoke to basically gave me the same info that was on the USCIS site (i.e. i-751 was filed sep 19...etc). She had to get my wife's permission to talk to me (which thankfully was easy as we were together when I made the call.

She took down contact information, wife's name, my name, her date of birth and her file number (i.e. my wife's A number) and said that my wife would hear from the officer in-charge of her file within 15 days. If she hasn't heard within 15 days to call back. And she gave us a tracking number. So we sit and wait. And meanwhile we have another trip abroad next week! (short, to Canada but still). Will be very glad when she has her permanent card in hand.

Best, KP

My case has not been touched since 21st September. Do you think it is worth my time calling USCIS and speaking to a level 2 rep? I want to plan a little vacation back to the UK but don't want to go when I am still at this stage as I am a divorce waiver and more than likely will get a RFE.

Also, from what I am reading people are being approved however they are not being updated on their website.......their is hope for me then if i call them, correct? smile.png

In your case, I wouldn't leave the country till you have your permanent green card in hand.

The website info means nothing. Its worth it to find out, I suppose if it has indeed been touched. I mean how many of us filers have paper approval but the website info hasn't changed?

I wonder if the CSC delay is related to the fact that they show that they are processing applications from August 25, 2012 right now.

I wouldn't take that to heart, if you look at the date that form was updated was March 31st, their have been 8 weeks since then.

I called USCIS today, was on hold for 2h23m to speak to a lvl 2 CS. He filed a SR for me and told me that I would hear back from them by June 20th, lets hope so.

I just wish we could get our card soon and I highly doubt that it will take 3 months..unsure.png

By the way, it seems like I gave you the "reputation" point. I'm sorry! I was going to quote your comment, but I accidentally clicked the wrong one lol

Update regarding below:

OK, everyone. I am one of the CSC filers who has a letter that the conditional status has been lifted and have not received a card, just like many on the list. Taking the cue from Newlywed2010 who I think did a service request and has been successful (and I have forgotten who else prompted me, sorry) I called customer service and filed a service request. She took down the info and told me to call back if we haven't heard within 15 days.

My decision date is 4/11/2013 and we are coming up on 60 days. Will keep the group posted.

(Thanks all - on another side-note my wife and I visited Germany and returned yesterday. The Homeland Security Officer swiped my wife's expired green card, checked it and asked for the extension letter. He had a look and gave it back (along with the expired green card, of course) and we headed to customs. I will update another thread on visajourney where I was asking questions about it).

Best, KP

I got an e-mail today - longish but a "form" e-mail. The first three lines are:

On June 6, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I am presuming that my call for the service on Tuesday (see above) request did the trick. I look forward to receiving the card!

Where am I at in the process? :

Hi Nickbits. Were you one of the people who filed a service request, or did this just naturally happen? Trying to decide if i should waste my time yet again calling the customer "service" number.

thanks

never mind. I just logged in to USCIS, and it looks like they mailed our card today as well. Thanks again
