I did sign up, but it still shows 'initial review'. I got a 'Congratulations' letter in the mail about 10 days ago, but no email or text message alerts.

I am in the same boat as you! I logged in today and it still says initial review...no emails or text alerts but I got a 'Congratulations' letter on plain white paper from them....Am i wrong to be a little concerned??

I dont understand this.. so... does this mean that we can travel with our 1 year extension letter (so long as it's still within the 1 year) as we wait for our 10yr CG to be produced and mailed out?

Yes, exactly. The letter that you get saying your GC has been approved doesn't say anything about invalidating the earlier 1 year extension, right? If I have an expired GC and a letter staying that its extended for a year then I am good to return to the US. I am hoping very much that it will come this week or early next.

My letter at least is on watermark paper and it says "United States of America" on top...it looks official, doesn't seem like a prank. I don't know though, I think they are just late with the card production, I guess we will get it sooner or later. I just hope they will not come back later on saying that they shipped the card and I will have to pay for a replacement. That would really suck.

My letter at least is on watermark paper and it says "United States of America" on top...it looks official, doesn't seem like a prank. I don't know though, I think they are just late with the card production, I guess we will get it sooner or later. I just hope they will not come back later on saying that they shipped the card and I will have to pay for a replacement. That would really suck.

Now I am starting to worry. Mine is plain white paper..no watermarks!! The only thing that alerted me initially was the USCIS mark on the envelope. The signature is a rubber stamp and it doesnt state our A# it just states a file number and a new classification symbol. I hope this is legit because otherwise this is a very cruel prank!!!

The letter I received looks like all the receipts we normally get from USCIS, along with the torch from the statue of liberty. This is really interesting. Wondering if you can scan and upload for us to see after blackening identifying material. I agree it would be a cruel prank. Does it have a post mark from the center's area?

I wouldn't worry too much, in the past I received letters from the USCIS written on worn out paper that I wouldn't have used even for my groceries list.

The " congratulation letter" I received from USCIS had our File A# and it sez on top I-797 Notice of Action .. well Did u try calling d office?

I am in the same boat as you! I logged in today and it still says initial review...no emails or text alerts but I got a 'Congratulations' letter on plain white paper from them....Am i wrong to be a little concerned??

Thinking I can hear tick tick tick passage of time and nothing from USCIS yet We got lost in the shuffle somewhere and in January had to put in an inquiry, hence my late date for the biometrics. I wonder how many have that one year extension letter expire (and our driver's licences!) before the actual card arrives even if you did everything by the book.

Okay, I feel better having vented to people that understand my pain. ;-)
