Boy, Have I been away...The letter probably came on the 17th or the 18th. It has approval date as 12th.

I didn't have any updates on the website either and thought it was some RFE!

Just wondering why it takes so long to receive the GC through the mail. If they tell me where to pick it up, I will drive there and get it in person. However, if they tell me that I have to go all the way to charming Lee's Summit, MO, I think I will pass this time

Did you sign-up case status update e-mail on USCIS website? If so, usually they send you "card-production ordered" e-mail first and then send you approval letter. Maybe they just approved you and haven't ordered card yet? Looks like CSC is taking much time for everything right now. Lot of April 2013 CSC filers haven't gotten their NOA yet...

Anyone have any comments on travel? Can I fly home to Canada for a days to visit my parents? Or do I have to wait until I receive my new GC?

How many CSC people who were approved have already received their card? I need to travel soon and all I have is the "Congratulations!" letter. Hopefully I will get my card soon (as in tomorrow...). What can I do if I need to travel and my GC hasn't arrived yet?

I posted this question elsewhere on visajourney. I am told that they will not stamp your passport as long as you have the automatic 1 year extension letter. If you are pass that date (i.e. 3 years from when you were considered a green card holder) then I would imagine you'll get the stamp on your passport without any problem. We are traveling in the second week of May and I am also hoping beyond hope that we get the GC.

We received a RFE yesterday, it's dated from 04/18. They want our identity documents and some Evidence of Good Faith Marriage... After 7 years being together, it feels very awkward that the USCIS has a doubt in our couple. I thought we had strongs evidences in our file. I wonder if it's because we moved after we filed the ROC. Or it might be also because we don't get mail at home but in PO boxes here in the mountains, so some invoices show the physical, but others show the mailing address. Anyway, we will do our best to collect as much evidences as possible.

I did sign up, but it still shows 'initial review'. I got a 'Congratulations' letter in the mail about 10 days ago, but no email or text message alerts.

moving after filing ROC could be a trigger. send copies of ID's that shows the same address, bills that has both names. Car insurance, life insurance, rental or house insurance, health insurance. Car title, car registration. to show both names that's what I had done. Good luck.

Awesome!!! Got my "congratulations approved" letter in the mail yesterday! :). When I had checked the status of my application the other month, my case could not be found. I was expecting to be in limbo for awhile so this was an amazing surprise!

So question- if I travel out of country over the next month - will I require my new GC? Or can I travel using my old GC and the NOA1 letter? Advice is appreciated before I book my flight!!!

I got email monday that USPS has picked up package and the tracking number is DCN... it is not working

I read somewhere here that we can call USCIS to find out the tracking number for GC mail.

I tried to call them... I went into infinite loop... I have to hang-up...

Can someone please give me idea how to find tracking?

I dont understand this.. so... does this mean that we can travel with our 1 year extension letter (so long as it's still within the 1 year) as we wait for our 10yr CG to be produced and mailed out?

Looking at the trend of VSC as compared to CSC. Things have changed, dont know what Obama did :unsure:

11/22/12 = Filed I-751 to remove conditions

11/30/12 = Got NOA1 (I-797C)

12/23/12 = Got the bio-metrics done (USCIS Status: Pending)

My husband travelled overseas in February with the extension letter and his expired GC without a problem

I hope everybody gets their GC soon!!!!

Happened to me too, if you log into your account at USCIS you should see a link to your tracking number there!

I got email monday that USPS has picked up package and the tracking number is DCN... it is not working

I read somewhere here that we can call USCIS to find out the tracking number for GC mail.

I tried to call them... I went into infinite loop... I have to hang-up...

Can someone please give me idea how to find tracking?
