So no touches since 21st September. Biometrics were done October 23rd. Anyone else have any updates, touches etc??? Only about 6 more weeks till the 6 month time is up.

CSC's proccessing time is slowing down dramatically. You have at least another month wait...

Looks like the California office folks are starting to hear some good news. Poor folks like us in the Vermont office are now showing delayed processing to 9 months. It was 8 months. That would put us at around April before we hear anything.

California has apparently screeched to a halt. I had to wait almost 4 months and put in a service request to finally get a biometrics date.

Re AZ driver's license expiring. My license was set to expire on same date as 2 year GC. Went in to DMV with NOA and they reissued DL for same date as in letter from USCIS for work extension, etc.

you've had your AOS with you?? Not sure what you mean. Do you mean the extension letter?? I've never had to go to the immigration office when I came back to the US with my expired green card and my extension letter.

I think that's what he meant too. FYI, I travel quite a bit for my work within the US only, and it varies re: the reactions I get with my expired green card. 99% of the time, its been no problem and most TSA folks know that you have a year extension after your expiration date. I just got back from Nashville last night, however, and 2 TSA agents at the Nashville airport (those peeps who check your ID and ticket) had a mini debate as to how long the extension is. I got through, and they were super nice, but gah--it had me tripping out internally.

I'm planning on going home to Canada for my little brother's birthday in early June. I filed for ROC in Sept. 2012 and, based on the processing times, it looks like I'll be bringing my coveted letter with me. I, ah, just hope I'm not yoinked into some Die Hard-esque scene type room with Immigration. That sounds so scary :/

Why do you show your expired conditional GC if you travel within the US, running the risk that some misinformed TSA agent stops you because he thinks you are out of status? Don't you have a State ID?

No State ID- I never bothered when my GC was still active. So hi-ho, it's the GC card- an expired one- I go.

I'm a bit weird like that- maybe it's because I'm in Texas- but the less of my stuff that I have in their databases-State ID included- the better (to me). While I think the processing times are silly, I am also in zero hurry to get my renewed GC; at least I am *with* my partner this round (the Visa wait is evil!). I am legally, legitimately and happily married, so my thiught process is that I have nothing to worry about re being here for the right (and legal) reasons to justify having my card renewed; we just gotta carry on, live well and wait. I dunno- that's just me I guess.

How do you check if its been touched? I see Vermont has a 8.9 month processing time but I got a call today from an Immigration number, maybe it has something to do with my husband going and re-newing his license today? It was actually Homeland Security 813-304-2233.

Haven't been on VJ for quite a while. Hubby's temporary green card expired Dec 15, 2012. Can't remember our NOA1 date (think it was Sept 20 or so) and biometrics were on Oct 17. It is at VSC so expecting a long wait from what I am reading here.............

Good to see you on here again! I see that everything is going well for you two. I was wondering where all the people were who applied for visa's the same time as us. This seems to be a much quieter wait than the visa process--almost boring! :yes:

My time line with respect to I-751 is below:

I-751 filing date 9/20/2012, GC expires Dec 7, 2012, filed at California Service Center

NOA came a couple of weeks later

Biometrics appointment date 10/16/2012

I am watching this thread since I am bit anxious - we are traveling in May and I am hoping we'll get the green card by then (Yes, I know, the expired green card and the NOA is good enough to travel, but still would be nice to have prior to travelling).
