Do you guys know what the normal timeframe is from when the USCIS receives the ROC package until they send you the NOA and the Biometrics letter? Our package was delivered on September 11th, and so far I haven't gotten either. I'm not worried about the NOA, my GC is still valid until December and in case I can always do an infopass and get a temporary stamp on my passport (not that I am looking forward to having to take a day off to go to their office, but if needed I will). I only hope that my biometrics letter didn't get misplaced and then I find out that I missed my appointment. Is there a way to request info via telephone (not that I am looking forward to calling the misinformation line either...)?

From my case status: "We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application" So maybe call them if you don't hear anything after 4 weeks of them receiving your application.

Package ready... One last Q before sending it out...

Do we need to put A# on the upper right hand corner on all the support papers?

I put A# on every page of supporting doc. No Harm.

Didn't the NOA automatically extend the Permanent Residence status for a year? It is mentioned in that notice. Or at least in mine (?) Edited by silvermug

I guess you got Bio letter on 9/22? If you send your package on 09/11, you should have gotton NOA letter (receipt notice) already...

Didn't the NOA automatically extend the Permanent Residence status for a year? It is mentioned in that notice. Or at least in mine (?)

I guess you got Bio letter on 9/22? If you send your package on 09/11, you should have gotton NOA letter (receipt notice) already...

silvermug is correct. NOA = extension letter.

Okay, maybe I need to read it again but mine didn't seem to say anything of the sort on the letter. Was it a one liner that I could have missed? And yes, it was the biometrics notice. :help::help::help:

Got my Bio appointment today. My appointment is 10/11/2012 in Fort Smith, AR

06-15-2010 Contact USCIS and congress office to see about the requested expedite

06-16-2010 Email from CRIS says application is pending expect and decision in 60days

06-17-2010 Email from USCIS stating RFE sent on 06-17-2010 for AOS

06-18-2010 AOS, EAD and AP touched but petition hasn't been touched since 05-25-2010

06-21-2010 RFE received (Petitioner's Signature on Joint Affidavit was missing)

06-22-2010 Priority Mailed RFE back to USCIS

06-23-2010 RFE Arrives at PO Box in Lees summit(picked up by USCIS 4:30pm)

06-24-2010 RFE received by USCIS and Case resumed

06-28-2010 AOS touched

07-22-2010 Contact USCIS about EAD expedite

07-28-2010 Received mail from USCIS stating employment authorization approved on 07-23-2010

07-28-2010 Received AP Document (Still no update on USCIS webpage since 06-18-2010)

After the Bio appointment, you either receive an RFE or you don't, and then get an interview or your get gets transferred to CSC for faster processing.

ROC Timeline

8/1/12: ROC window opens
9/4/12: ROC packet sent
9/8/12: ROC packet delivered to VSC
9/12/12: Check cashed
9/14/12: NOA letter received (NOA dated 9/10/12)
9/20/12: Biometrics letter received (Bio appointment 10/15/12)
10/12/12: Early biometrics walk-in

4/27/13: RFE received

6/17/13: RFE response sent

7/1/13: ROC petition approved

7/5/13: GC received in the mail.
