Heading to Des Moines for my bio on Monday. Dreading the 3-ish hour drive to probably be in and out in less than an hour. But, both my husband and I have the day off, so we might make a nice little day trip out of it.

Making sure I just bring what I need and I'm also mulling over what to wear. Any ideas? ;)

We went in for an early bio yesterday 10/12. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes. :)

9/4/12: ROC packet sent
9/8/12: ROC packet delivered to VSC
9/12/12: Check cashed
9/14/12: NOA letter received (NOA dated 9/10/12)
9/20/12: Biometrics letter received (Bio appointment 10/15/12)
10/12/12: Early biometrics walk-in

4/27/13: RFE received

6/17/13: RFE response sent

7/1/13: ROC petition approved

7/5/13: GC received in the mail.

early bio: how do you do it and does it help with the timing? ours is for 10/23/12. Just wondering if its worth to get an early bio.

Drove to Cleveland today for our Biometrics appt. All went smoothly...took our passports and they put the stamp in them to extend the GC as ours are now expired. Crossing fingers for a quick process time.

There are number of people went in with their appt letter and ID and asked for early bio.

I don't know the advantage of it per say... but does not hurt to do it early.

I am also trying to do it but could not find time for it. :innocent:

How do you guys do the early bio? Is there an advantage for doing it early?

And I have a nice chi[p in my windshield for my trouble.

Anyway... that's over, so now more of the waiting game.

wow i can't believe this ... so sorry :((

I wouldn't mind waiting, except that I read too many horror stories of people getting denial letters because they didn't show up at allegedly scheduled interviews or bio appointments, of which of course the applicants had no knowledge.

Well you might as well remove me from the September filing list as after hearing nothing and no answers from the helpline I have cancelled my check and resubmitted another application (with signed for delivery) so it now makes me an October filer :(
