Hi All,

My fiancee is living with me out of the US. Would she be able to ask for an expedited case due to the fact she is USC living abroad? If that is not possible would telling immigration she now resides out of country make it quicker for us at all?

Thanks for any help.

David

Unfortunately no. Sorry....

On a side note, maybe take a look at this thread and just see what you think about it http://www.visajourn...-living-abroad/

It talks about getting married outside of US and filing CR1

Anyhow, just thought you might like to at least look at it.

Good Luck

If you marry and file an I-130, the petition is likely to experience expedited processing if the petitioner has an address abroad. But it doesn't appear the same processing applies to I-129f.

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

Thank you, that is what actually got me thinking about it. There is no option for this for the K1 visa?

Unfortunately there is none to my knowledge. If you guys are serious about marriage, then consider that route. It appears that the CR1 moves a little quicker according to that post if the US citizen is living abroad. I am no means knowledgeable in that area, that is why I gave you the link to see what you think about what they say there. CR1 will be a better decision anyhow. Cheaper and non-USC can work and travel once they arrive and get green card. No adjustment of status issues.

Maybe message some of the members who posted there and start a conversation with them. I am sure they would gladly answer some questions.

Good luck
