It's NVC, everything takes several days...

NVC moves a lot faster than USCIS but this entire process really tests all of

us in the ability for dealing with the unknown. Our biggest issue has been the

logistics of travel and hotel accommodations. Not knowing the day of Interview

and realizing the airlines charge considerably more for reservations closer to

departure.

This Friday (28-09-2012) I begin the calling for Interview Appointment. We need

this before the end of October..the 26th to be exact.

If by this you mean the interview, that's unlikely.

NVC got the IV packet sept. 24, hope to be case close later this week or early next week to get november interview.

Yes, mine was received on 9/17.

The only way to get an October date at this point is if someone cancels or reschedules. November interviews should start up very soon. NVC schedules a month ahead. Although, you might get lucky and get a date very early in the month even if you have a case complete at the end of this month. I saw that happen when they started scheduling in October. Nothing is impossible in this venture.

I'm worried because the other El Salvador filer on here hasn't gotten a date and his case was closed 9/13 :(

Sooo, once the NVC closes the case, one has to wait some unknown amount of time then call them to ask when the interview will be scheduled? Do they send an e-mail with that information at all?

I hope you'll get yours soon!

You can start calling as soon as you get a case complete. The unknown amount of time is getting an interview date scheduled. And yes, as long as you gave over both email addresses to an operator, you'll get the letter by email.

Wow. I'm so happy for you. Wonderful news. :)

I'm off to Stockholm in a couple hours. I'm going to stay the night at my brother, he lives in southern Stockholm. That way I know I won't have to risk the trains running late or something tomorrow morning. Västerås is only an hour from Stockholm by train, but I'd rather not risk it. I can just hop on the subway tomorrow morning, switch to a bus that stops right on the street where the embassy is, no problems.

The interview is at 9:00 AM local Swedish time tomorrow morning, 3:00 AM New York time. I think I have everything in order, I am only going to pick up stamps and some photos on the way to the train station here in Västerås. I may not need the photos but I thought it couldn't hurt to have some developed anyway. Besides I can just give them to my mom afterwards, I know she'll appreciate that.

So, yeah... See yinz on the other side. :)
