I was very pissed and nervous so once I calmed myself down and re-read again I think they were saying they reviweed AOS and waiting for DS-230.

Here is what they ask for:

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.

The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United

States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

website for instructions:

http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents")

Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each

Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay

your visa.

Is that the DS-230 IV package they are waiting for?

Confirmed with my attorney and YES that is for DS-230 IV package. He said I should've sent both AOS and IV package in one mail so it won't cause this issue.

GOD. I was really nervous to see if there is RFE again.

Like you I did the DS-261 only, I didn't email the DS-3032, BUT got a confirmation email saying, among other things:

"We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-3032.

For more information regarding the immigrant visa application fee or for answers to frequently asked questions, please visit the following website:

http://travel.state..../info_3904.html"

I'm assuming that means the 261 was accepted, but you know what they say about assuming, especially with this process, lol.

Interesting that you got an email even though you did the DS-261.

Hi guys! :)

I don't know where to ask this question so I just picked a forum .

My husband and I filed for the I-130 almost five months ago! He's a USC and I'm Belgian. My hubby called USCIS last week and requested to talk to a Tier 2 supervisor, who told him that they are processing applications with NOA1 date 27th of April '12 (our is 1st of May)... We have to hear from them any day now I guess???

I roughly know what the process will be after we get approved (hopefully!), but I wonder if they require an Affidavit of Support for every application?

I'm worrying a bit since my husband is an Air Force Reserve and currently still in college, so his income is not too high. (I am currently still working at my job in Belgium).

How much does he need to make to stay over the poverty line for both of us?

(Of course I am planning on looking for a job as soon as I would move.)

Thanks in advance and good luck to all of you!

Yes, an AOS is required for all IR-1/CR-1 applicants. If he doesn't meet the poverty guidelines (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf), then you'll need to find a joint sponsor.

I was very pissed and nervous so once I calmed myself down and re-read again I think they were saying they reviweed AOS and waiting for DS-230.

Yup, that's the false checklist. That's a very good indication that your AOS package was accepted. Call NVC asap to confirm!

GOD. I was really nervous to see if there is RFE again.

Even if you sent them in the same package, you can still get the false checklist. It's generated when one package has been reviewed. They don't both checking if the other package is already in the building or not. You can tell your lawyer that ;)

Saylin is right. It was a false checklist. So don't panic once you get it.

When I first saw it, I was really nervous especailly I thought it was informing me the case is completed.

Take a deep breathe before opening up a mail next time.

Keep in mind, YOU will not receive an email saying your case is complete. You have to call NVC to find this out.
