----------- Day 6 ------ NVC received both my AOS and IV package on 9/17 11 am.

Just called NVC again, actually only AOS has been reviewed. IV package is not yet reviewed. That makes sense since they are handling by different folks.

I will call to check again tomorrow.

BTW, I didn't make a copy of DS-230 before I sent out. Is that OK?

It's not detrimental that you didn't make a copy, but you won't ever have a copy for your own person records.

quick question....can the pp photos be the same ones from the i-130 app? (assuming they are under the 6 mth mark?)

As long as they meet all of NVC's guidelines for photos, then yes, you can use the same ones.

ORRRRR could it be that I'm not going to get an email "ACCEPTING" it since I submitted it online and not through email--it shows "COMPLETED", does that mean its been processed?

Are you referring to the DS-261? Cause no, you don't get an acceptance email for that. At least, I never did. The IV bill will just be invoiced.

Does anyone know how to get NVC and an interview expedited? My ~1 year old is having all these health problems and that, combined with the stress of working a full time job and supporting my family by myself and the stress of having been separated from my husband now for 15 months is just starting to wear on me... big time. I'm broken down and I need him here with me. Like, mentally, this is exacerbating my BPD. We still have the damn 601 to go too, so we face another 4-5 months separation and I just can't. Do. This. Any. More.

My visa interview at the embassy in Stockholm has been re-scheduled to Friday September 28. That's Friday this week. FRIDAY THIS WEEK!

Grats! kicking.gifkicking.gif Hope you're prepared for the earlier interview! :P

Since my case complete.... Now what? do I call to see if NVC sent out the packet to the embassy? ask for tracking number???

Your case isn't sent out to the embassy until AFTER an interview date has been assigned. And even then, they will not provide a tracking number. You can find this out on your own.

What you have to do now (unless you just want to sit back and wait for the interview letter) is to call NVC and/or DOS every day (or as often as you want) and asking if an interview date has been assigned.

Does anyone know how to get NVC and an interview expedited? My ~1 year old is having all these health problems and that, combined with the stress of working a full time job and supporting my family by myself and the stress of having been separated from my husband now for 15 months is just starting to wear on me... big time. You can request an expedite at NVC if you email 'Supervisor Sue' along with an explanation of WHY you should be expedited.

I think so. I believe I have all the necessary documents. The medical examination was last week. I'm going to go have an extra passport style photo or two developed tomorrow. I have heard or seen somewhere that I need to provide the embassy with stamps so they can mail me back my passport. So yeah, I think I have everything covered.

If you request at NVC, they'll forward the request to your embassy. They'll then look over your case and send their decision back to NVC, who will then inform you. If approved, then your case is closed and sent overseas. From here, things might differ by country. Some then require any missing documentation/fees then assign the interview date, or they'll just assign an interview date right away and ask that you bring any missing documentation/fees to the interview.

I wonder if it's even worth it. I guess if I don't hear anything from NVC by Friday (concerning case closed or not) then I'll assess how serious this lump on my daughter's gum is and go from there. Or.. the sooner to contact NVC the better? They've had the AOS for 6 full biz days and the IV for 3.

Since you're so close, I suggest just waiting. Once you do get your interview date, you can always contact the embassy and request for a sooner one, if possible.

Ugh. Got an e-mail from the Stockholm embassy this afternoon.

I replied that I would prefer a new interview date before October 5, if that is possible. I just want this to be over so I can be with my wife. I've had it up to here with all the waiting and uncertainty.

WOW! I surely hope you get a quicker date and come on home Mr. B! It's been an aggravating ride for you! We are still here watching, waiting and praying for you to be with your wife very soon! Two weeks is not too bad. Do you have everything else handled? Ready to fly???? God bless and say Hi to your wife from all of us! :D
