Ok, I called about mailing the AOS package and they said that I can't e-mail it, it has to be mailed because it is for a parent not a spouse. NVC has became so confusing in the last 3 year, there are so many different processes for different countries, etc.

PS they have reviewed the Choice of Agent and I should be assigned the IV fee shortly.

How to fix:

Call back into NVC,

and ask for a Supervisor.

Then tell the Supervisor that you wish to OPT IN for the Mexican Electronic Processing Program.

IR-5s are allowed to do EP, but getting a MEP casefile # is not automatic, you have to call, and get a supervisor, and make it happen.

When you get an adamant NVC TeleOperator that keeps saying no - remind them that you will call the SERCO manager that signs his/her timecard and doc 2 hours for giving the wrong answer.

I already sent the DS-3032 and paid AOS fee. As I've read from previous posts, I can just download I-864, and so I did and filling it up. I am just waitin for the letter of employment and the copy of tax return I requested from IRS. What else are included in the IV packet? Should I receive anything from NVC after paying AOS Fee and sending DS-3032? Can I just pay IV then if I can send AOS and IV packet together? Sorry I am really confused. Thanks for your patience

There's a lot needed in the IV package. Please refer to the first two posts in this thread and do some reading!

You need to have paid the IV fee before you can send them the IV package. IV fee and IV package are part of the IV track. Things need to be done in a certain order otherwise you'll cause un-needed delays at NVC. I suggest you click on the flowchart in my signature to better see this.

Can I just download DS-230 and send it together with AOS? Do I get notification to pay IV?

You can do whatever you want,

but

I pray (or sling 100 kittens off a cliff to make the blood sacrifice to the God)

you will actually get on a PC, and read post #1 in this topic, clicking through all of the links that you see there,

and making copious notes on each link that had click-thru content.

Does anyone know how long after the interview setting date NVC sends the packages to the embassies ? I'm trying to use the DHL tracking thing and not having much success.

Why to do this? you already have interview date.

If you are seeking an earlier appointment date, it's ON YOU to contact the IV unit and ask for one.

Seriously - what is it you are hoping to accomplish by tracking the casefile via DHL ?

fwiw, DoS Hotline can tell you other casefile info, other casefile status, simply by YOU calling them and asking for casefile status.

Whoop whoop got the IVbill posted along w. Email and checklist. Now i think its a fake check list becuz it just says something about needing ds3032 but they sent email yesterday accepting it. So tomorrow imma pay bill good lord my stomach is sick! Lol in a good way tho! So that does sound like a fake list right?

Okay so now that both packets are at NVC all I do is sit back and wait, right? I guess I could obsessively check payment portal -- I'll get an error message if it's closed, right? I don't want to wait anymore.

No, the payment portal trick for 'case complete' doesn't work anymore, it's been about 8 months now that it's not worked.

So, for 'what else to do' ..

Uncle Darnell Recommends:

1. clean yer house with a steam device - remember - yer loved one is coming in from a region of the world that doesna have the same air borne pathogens where you live. Being Hermitically Clean will save a nasty bout o flu-like symptoms that first week.

2. Plant 5 buckets o dirt with kitchen herbs. Place in the sun, water daily.

3. Send off 200 new Facebook Invites to people you have never interacted with before, just do a search on a bizarre band name and insist they friend you on Facebooken..

4. Write 10 pages on a blog (2000 words/page) for what you've been doing at NVC. When yer done, ask me to proof read it.

I'm guessing that checklist was generated due to them reviewing (and accepting) your AOS package. Call them up ASAP and ask!!

Ooooh that does make things different! Yeah, if your case number isn't MEP something, then yeah, it's not electronic processing.

What are the first 3 letters of your case number?

Even if I am or am not eligible for electronic process, is it even worth it at this point. They have my AOS packet and probably should be processes here shortly because they should have received it Monday. I can submit the DS-260 online through the online forms portal. Is there any advantage to ask to Opt In at this point, if even possible?
