Guess I'll be calling them later in the week...perhaps Friday.

Paying a fee in person isn't a problem...just ensuring I don't have to do another one of those pay on their website things.

Thanks!

Yeah, by Friday, there's a good chance they'll have reviewed your PCC.

And I don't know at all how Thailand works, only Canada (which is free).

I see in the 2nd post FAQ that it takes about a week to get a case closed.

However, looking at recent trends, would you say this still holds true? A few days to a week?

My AOS is hopefully getting picked up or delivered today. My IV is still at a local post office. I wanted to do good and support USPS because IDK about you guys but I LOVE getting mail. I now see I made the wrong choice as I sent my damn IV last Friday, priority mail certified, and it's STILL here in town. #######.

Yes, I still stand by it taking around a week to get a case complete (if everything is accepted). Please remember to read my note at the end of the FAQ that mentions that those are just general time frames; it could take longer or shorter. Times always vary.

And have you tried calling the post office to see what's up? Maybe they can refund you...

PO says priority mail takes 2-3 biz days, today is only "day 2" and it's not guaranteed to be delivered in that time frame. As for the one that's at the PO up in NH, she said NVC has to schedule a re-delivery or pick up. Kinda hoping someone is on their way to the PO right now to pick up all the packages they surely missed this weekend. I am so stressed about this.

Don't worry whatsoever about the package in NH. It will be re-delivered today, with no action needed from you. What happened happens to a LOT of people, and as always, their packages get re-delivered on Monday (or Tuesday if NVC is closed due to holiday).

You need to keep an eye on the package still in town though as that might need some action on your part.

LOL that package in town is the bane of my existence. It's back at the major sorting facility in the area as of this morning at 2a. So it better well be on it's damn way to NH at some point today. :ranting:

I have a question with the AOS fee. I paid for two beneficiaries, my mom and dad. When I am done with my mom's, I used the "make another payment" to pay for my dad. When I checked my bank account, there was only one transaction of $88.00 that has cleared, and when I went back to the site and printed the receipt, my mom's status was changed to "in-process" to "paid" while my dad's was "paid by related case." Is this how it's supposed to be? Or there should be two transactions of $88.00 and both status should be "paid?" thanks :)

AOS for two or more people?

if the casefiles are joined together properly at NVC,

then

There's only one fee of 88 bucks to pay, for all.

Total = 88 .

<EOM>

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Saylin, how long does a supervisor review usually take?

I wonder if the NVC is just having problems with applications going through Stockholm because of ignorance. Just got off the phone with them and they said that my husband's passport and police records were not from Sweden and he has to send in Swedish ones. Ummm, because he's Danish. I had to explain to the operator that Danes have to go through the Swedish embassy and asked for a supervisor review. Let's see how long this takes, going on two months in NVC, this is such BS.

Out of curiousity -- do they take Swedish language documents there at the Danish consulate? I think all certificates and documents have to be in the language of the country in which the visa is being processed... so, if I'm right, which I may not be, you might have to have the Danish certs translated to Swedish BECAUSE the embassy he's going through is IN Sweden.

wait -- they are fine with the documents in whatever language they're in but now they want PCs and whatnot FROM Sweden -- okay, I misread. Yeah I have no clue. :blush:
