ok question... after they get the AOS they will email you decision? Or how does that work? And what if you get a denial? I do have a cosponser who makes enough. So hopefully ill be ok. How long does it take for a response?

They don't email you if they accept it. If something's wrong with it, then they'll issue you a checklist. It's currently taking around one week to review packages, so call NVC every day and ask for an update.

Ok so I just received this email. Can someone please shed some light as to what it actually means? I am confused. Is this meaning that they did not accept my DS-3032? Am I to resend again?

Thank you in advance!

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

Re-read what I put in bold. It's a denial. Re-send the DS-3032 asap. The next time, they should accept it.

Also, you shouldn't be including your full case number along with both the petitioner and beneficiary's names. You don't want that information falling in the wrong hands.

Hi all,

We sent our DS 3032 email to the NVC right when we got our case number on August 28. In the email my wife told them she did not want to designate anyone and to continue to contact her at our address here in Thailand (since I'm not in the US, we don't have a lawyer and the mail is quite reliable here)

Now two weeks later we get the following response:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: (case number) filed by XXXXXXXXX on behalf of XXXXXXXXX.

We are unable to add third party contact information to the case record at this time. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change in the petitioner's or principal applicant's address."

So it looks like we'll have to resend it today. Does this mean we have to wait ANOTHER TWO WEEKS just for the stupid acceptance email and subsequent IV invoice?

Also, I STILL have not been invoiced for AOS stuff (2 weeks). Frustrating.

AOS should come any day - I think it was around 10 or 11 business days for me. Resend for the DS-3032 although did you use the template? I'm not sure if just writing that you don't designate anyone is the right way to go - I was thinking she just designates herself (no explanation needed).

Yes, she designated herself (rather than a third party) and we did use the template (with a few minor alterations).

Just re-sent the it again. I really hope it doesn't take two more weeks, as that could push our interview back another month.

Thank you - hope we at least get AOS stuff done in the next day or so.

Yes, if the attorney is still on record, then no DS-3032 is needed, thus the IV bill will be invoiced at the same time as the AOS.

Look on the bright side. At least it only took 91 days for your I-130 approval. Shoot, it took me 8 months and 8 days, and the entire time my husband was in El Salvador. AND we still have the 601 waiver to file. So don't despair. Yours will be done a lot sooner than you think.

And I should still be able to access the payment portal to pay that MYSELF, right? I feel like that's a really, really stupid question but I'm totally paranoid.
