NVC Filers - September 2012

I called in NVC and got case number and IID on 8/27. Today is the 8th working days so it may come soon. I did call again yesterday and yes they told me it can take 10-20 days.

Yeah, I think NVC is getting a little backlogged on invoicing AOS bills at the moment.

The good news for everyone though, it seems like NVC went down to getting case numbers assigned within 2-3 weeks instead of previously taking 4+ weeks. So that part of the backlog is getting better.

Already done Anything to make this go more quickly - I miss my hubby! Got the AOS package ready to go, and waiting for my man to send me his stuff for the IV package (he had a hard time getting his birth certificate).

Ok. So i guess u CAN NOT send ds3032 email UNTIL the choice of agent has been generated. Ours was rejected. So now have to wait again.

Just got this in response to our email to the NVC:

"We are unable to add third party contact information to the case record at this time. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change in the petitioner's or principal applicant's address.

The NVC recently received this petition. The appropriate agent (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the further processing of this petition within 6 to 8 weeks."

So much for sending the DS3032 email early.

No buiggie just resend. I never got a response after 12 days so I resend like Darnell told me with Subject: Supervisor Review (case#) husbands full name-2nd time sending

Got a accept email 4 hours later.

Just rescan. The problem is that we are just a weee bit faster than NVC. Usually when you send these when you get case# they were taking like a week to accept. Guess they just got to your faster than they inputted all their stuff. so.

How long does it take to get an interview date after a case complete?

This varies by country and consulate/embassy. Some people find out within a day or two, others a few weeks, then the few unfortunate that wait a few months (ex: Ghana Sweden). To get the best estimate for YOUR country is to search, using the timeline feature, when others got case completes and when they got their interview dates scheduled.

Sweden still isn't as long as Ghana (~year last time I checked), but yeah, 2 months is pretty long

Hey, Mr. Borkström, probably only of interest to a handful of us going through Stockholm, but I checked the most recent interview dates for Stockholm for both IR-1/CR-1 and K1. Looks like a few trickled in through the summer. I hope they pick up since summer vacations should now be over

Just got mine - and now paid!!

It says In Process but I was able to print out the barcoded cover sheet - Can I send my AOS tommorow or do I need to wait for anything else? I wasn't sure if it had to go from IN PROCESS to PAID first?

Just read the instructions for AOS again and noticed it says the I-864 must be in all CAPITAL letters! So much for being 100% complete. Going to fill the form out again with the CAPS LOCK again before sending

I think they will. I'm just bummed. I thought that if I wasn't in the US by my father-in-law's birthday (which was yesterday), I'd at least be very close to moving.

I read earlier you should wait to be sure it goes through. Some people had their payment fail.

Mine is marked as PAID this morning (both AOS and IV).

I am going to send them off together on Monday morning. Hate it when the next business day is a Monday
