Hi Guys,

My oath ceremony is scheduled for Sept 25. They do have a very akward requirement. Women must wear dresses. Anybody else has anything to say about this?

But I am pregnant now and I am fat. So dont really feel like wearing a dress.

Are you sure? Do you have this in writing? I remember the official form I got said you needed to be dressed decent (no flip flops or short shorts), but nothing about dresses.

don't worry about it.. during my oath ceremony 2 days ago, some guys were wearing jeans.. one guy was even wearing shorts *sigh* even though it says "no jeans, shorts or flip flops" on the n-652 paper.. i remember seeing a lot of ladies wearing pants.. they won't police what you wear.. but then again there were 900 of us.. there were even monks taking their oath with their garbs on.. dress comfortably and congratulations..

Just buy a dress then? You get nice dresses for pregnant women. Try Ross or Marshall's for a discounted dress.

old navy has some nice maternity wear... they are also light fabric so you dont feel so hot..

i didn't like pants and shirts while i was pregnant... a dress is like sleepwear... it felt nice and cool best of luck! you're almost there!
