Hi Vj memebers just wanna share my interview experience today, My local office is Hialeah in Florida, my appointment was at 11am today got there at 10:45 no parking space i couldn't believe it since it was a huge place finally after 10mins found a spot and we rushed in passed through security, showed the receptionist our appointment notice she gave us a ticket number and we waited just like every. (Reason the parking lot was full was coz they had a Naturalization Ceremony).

We sat for about 15mins and my number was called i walked in with my wife and son, the lady officer looked friendly at the beginning but after we walked into her office for some reason she had a serious look which was directed towards my wife who had her work uniform on since she had to leave for work.

The lady officer then swore us in to tell the truth and all blah blah blah then we sat down she offered my son 2yr old a paper and pen to play with she asked us both for our ids she verified and gave it back to us she opened my filed and just breezed through it by asking what my name ,age, address, was and also was i planning any assassination etc I answered no no no ...... and NO and was tired if the NO, i had a yes on the criminal record though which she asked for the original coz she had a copy on file and then she put the document to the side within 2mins she had breezed through her questions and then she asked my wife how did you meet my wife responded social network site she said which she answered blackplanet then she said when did we meet in person my wife answered. She asked if we both have been married before i said no my wife said yes she asked for divorce dissolution showed her.

She then asked what we brought to show her aside what she doesn't have showed her pictures, joint bank statement and credit cards statement with copies of card. After collecting that she told my wife to wait with my son in the lobby whiles she asked me something i was a lil concerned but not worried she came back.

And she questioned me about the criminal record :bonk: (concealing stolen property less than $200 which was not my fault) i explained everything that happened due to the fact that my charge was in Detroit Michigan the court disposition was different to that of florida so she was confused she dialed a number and spoke to a clerk in Detroit the lady explained she re read my documents and that was it.

She then took out a "Section 216 notice" and explained to me that i need to take off the conditional off to avoid deportation and that since we were married less than two years it has to be conditional asked me to sign and then told me in 2 to 4 weeks if i do not receive my card i should come in for a stamp. She then walked out her office to her supervisors office could hear them talk to sign my documents i don't know why but she did that then called my wife in and she also signed it.

My wife and i were dissapointed since the officer could have spoken to both of us regarding the case instead she made my wife stay outside and then made my wife coming not even necessary since she didnt ask her anything my wife literally sat down for less than 3 mins and she had to walk out .

Thats what happened am happy its over with i filed June 22nd I have tracking number for my EAD and thats my journey so far wish every one the best of luck

well, that's the first pass.

please not plan future assassinations, aye? Might be a problem at the next interview.

Congratulations on getting out of the parking lot.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
