NOT TRUE PLEASE,............. do not say what you dont know

Really.....1.1 million people immigrated to the US last year.

They ALL had an agenda other than what their visa was inteded for??? And I know my wife does not have an agenda....I had to beg her to come here, and occasionally still have to ensure her about coming here.

Eventually we will end up living in her country, because she wants to be with her family.

So, what is her agenda?

Sorry about your predicament, but that can happen even if not a foreign relationship.

My ex-wife and I were together for 12 years (4 actually married) and it wasn't until we had a son together that she decided to show true colors and file for divorce after she was guaranteed a steady sizable income by seating on her *** as part of child support. And she wasn't a foreigner, born and raised good ole southern girl <right>.

Marriage is a gamble no matter what/where/how/whom. Just be ready for whatever life throws your way. Only way to sort of prevent similar situation: GET A PRENUP!!!

I totally agree

Nothing in this world worth having comes easy.

I think she meant an agenda other than being with her "burnin' hunk-o-love".

But we all know she is dillusional.

I AGREE THEY ALL DONT HAVE AN AGENDA... I MET MY FIANCE THROUGH GOOD FRIENDS OF OURS MY BEST FRIEND AND HER HUSBAND WHO IS MY FIANCE BEST FRIEND AND THEY WOULDNT LET ME GO THROUGH A SITUATION LIKE THAT.... MY FIANCE TELLS ME ALL THE TIME HE DOESNT CARE WHERE WE LIVE HERE OR IN HIS COUNTRY JUST AS ALONG AS WE ARE TOGETHER.... HE WOULD LOVE IT IF I COULD GO AND LIVE THERE NOW BUT UNFORTUNALTEY IT IS NOT POSSIBLE AT THIS TIME FOR ME.. BUT SOMEDAY WE WILL AND HE KNOWS THAT....

Another sad story, feel bad for your situation, but hope that one day you will find love again and can move on from the hurt. Try as hard as you can to have a relationship with your daughter, no matter how little time you get to spend with her. She needs your love and support no matter. Put aside the bitterness for her sake if anything.

Good luck.

Im so sorry you relationship didnt turn out as you had planned, yes there will always be folk out there that have ulterior motives but bad marriages can happen anywhere at anytime with anyone.

Please realise that not all non USC are out to scam and gain a greencard in America, many of us come from beautiful countrys with family and friends that we love and we will be heartbroken when the time comes to leave them behind.

Its understandable that anyone who has 'been burnt' as a result of this process feels bitter and angry. Strength and peace to them.

Not exactly reading stories about fraud. I think it would help more to be informed about red flags rather than being forced to read about fraudelent marriages or what've happened to some after entering the US. Some of the factors you mentioned couldn't have been seen before even moving to the US. OP, I'm sorry that you ended up in such a situation but even if you would've been warned however it'll take more than 10 wild horses to destroy what you at that point thought was mutual.

I concur i believe they all have an agenda at the end of the day, stay alert folks

'They all'? USCIS can't see if the US citizen has an agenda by keeping a girl as a slave either when it doesn't show up it a background check. There are 2 sides to immigration, don't forget that.

I think any time you marry someone you don't really know, there's a high potential for problems.

The system as it is now isn't conducive to getting to know a person, or to really spending time with them. You meet someone (often online, these days) and think you're in love. Of course, you can only know part of a person online, the part they want you to see. Then you get caught up in the romance of it all. It's a perfect love story - you're destined to be together, but the bad guys (the government) are in the way. You have to overcome it all to be together! The problem is that you're so caught up in the romance of it, you don't stop to actually look truthfully at your "relationship" for all its flaws. When the fight is over, so's the romance, so's the fantasy, and reality can be very disappointing.

Well, that's the way I see it, anyway...

yea very true. majority of foreign marriages are fraud. doesnt mean you cant have a real marriage but you have to be aware of situations. too many ppl fall in love in 2 days time and get married. then are shocked to find out they have been scammed.....

It only seems like a majority are, because those are the ones you hear about. I bet for every one fraudulent international marriage, there are overt a hundred more honest and real ones.

Just like the media...portraying the bad in society to create fear in humankind. You won't hear of every good deed, but you will hear of every murder!

Precisely! It's the same with car accidents. How often do you hear about people having absolutely no problems driving from A to B versus people being in a car crash. Hardly anybody who got to their destination will even mention it, nor will the media write about it, or anyone post it on a forum.
