Hey VJ! I just got married and to my luck have received a job offering in Prague. I haven't started the CR-1 visa process yet and was wondering if I should hold off and do DCF in Prague, if it's possible. My husband and I got married in Colombia as he is a Colombian citizen. If we live in Prague for the allowed 6 months will we qualify for DCF in Prague?? If I live in Prague but he stays in Colombia will we qualify?

I don't believe DCF is available in Prague. I believe they discontinued DCF back in 2010 or 2011.

The only places where DCF is now available are in countries where USCIS has an international field office. The complete list is here (http://www.uscis.gov/international) and Czech Republic is not there. However, petitions filed from a foreign address generally receive expedited processing anyway, to compensate for the disappearance of DCF in general worldwide locations in August 2011. So you should still see faster processing on the petition. See this thread for more:

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter
