Hey there all,

My fiancee and I are waiting on the NOA2 and I have posted in the Canada&Immigration timeline about the DS-260. Also posted in another post of mine, but no one has got back to me. Here are my questions:

1. For the K-1 do you need to fill out the DS-260?

2. For people who have done the K-1 process through Montreal recently: Do you have to do the DS-260, DS-230, both or just the 260 or 230?

N400 - Naturalization                                                                                                        U.S. Passport

Aug 05, 2018 (Day 1): Applied for Naturalization online                                                  Oct 01, 2019 (Day 1): Sent US Passport Application

Aug 06, 2018 (Day 2): Check Cashed, NOA1 received online                                         Oct 08, 2019 (Day 8 ) : Passport trackable 

Aug 11, 2018 (Day 6): Recvd notification that Biometrics appointment scheduled       Oct 17, 2019 (Day 17) : Received Passport

Aug 13, 2018 (Day 8): Received biometrics appt letter online                                        Oct 21, 2019 (Day 21) : Received Naturalization Cert. back

Aug 28, 2018 (Day 23): Biometrics Appt

May 06, 2019 (Day 274): In Line For Interview

Jun 11, 2019 (Day 311): Interview Date

July 01, 2019 (Day 327) : Oath Ceremony I AM NOW A US CITIZEN!!!!

 

FROM K-1 PETITION SENT TO OATH CEREMONY WAS ABOUT 7 YEARS 4 MONTHS

The Instructions do not mention DS-260

2011-05-21: Matched on eharmony (clearly not in my 60 mile radius preference!)

2011-07-30: Met in Ottawa

2011-08-28: Day I knew I wanted to spend my life with her

2012-01-21: I proposed, outside in the freezing cold!

2012-02-06: Mailed out K-1 via FedEX

2012-02-10: NOA1

2012-08-01: NOA2

2012-08-17: Packet 3 received (email)

2012-09-10: Packet 3 sent

2012-09-12: Packet 4 received (email) with request for 2 photos

2012-10-29: Medical in Toronto

2012-11-06: Interview - Approved!

2013-04-05: POE Thousand Islands

2013-04-20: Wedding

But if you look at the Packet 4 checklist they have the DS-260 on there: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet4_Med_001.pdf

It can be a little confusing when one document says the 230 and the other says the 230 or 260.

Please read the checklist carefully. It says the DS230 OR the DS260.com

I just do not want to get an RFE for not doing the 260 thats all.
