Hi guys

My husband and I has been married for less than a year but we have been living together 2 years prior to our marriage.

We met online like 2007, email & video chat while I was still in the Philippines, and we met personally 2008 here in US. Since then we stopped emailing just phone calls and video chatting.

Now when I was trying to retrieve my email from hotmail everything was erased/deleted and don't have proof that we met online. When I googled any issues about hotmail there is an article about that most hotmail users lost their email somehow. I stopped using that email account.

I'm just worried if they ask for that and we don't have anything to show.

Please advise thanks.

Your profile says you filed for a CR1 visa. The evidence you are asking about is it for the CR1, correct?

If you can't access your email account anymore. Wouldn't your husband have the same emails you exchanged? Perhaps he can forward those back to you, to a new email account, and you can print them from there.

I'm Adjusting my Status and I tried to change that visa type under my profile but it won't change it.

I can access my email account it's just that hotmail had a problem or issue and deleted all my email records.

My husband used to email me from his previous workplace and he is not working there anymore so don't have proof that we met online.

For a spousal case, they don't want to see email chats from years ago. Focus on comingling of finances and other proof of a married life. You are proving a bona fide MARRIAGE, not a bona fide relationship.

Edit: Just realized this is a zombie thread. :S

Thank you very much for your answer! That makes me feel a little better, but we started living with our joint sponsor who is my husband's stepfather, and neither my husband and I have a job right now. I hear it's better than having no jobs and not living with the joint sponsor, but will we be okay?? We do have a lot of pictures and mails sent to both of us. When we sent our package to USCIS we included bank statements our joint account. Right now we aren't paying bills but we do have copies of bills before and after we moved here.

Gather what you have that would convince an outside party. Also, have you made Wills, Medical Powers of Attorney, etc.? If not, do. You can probably find templates or samples on-line, or you can shop around for an attorney who will do these fairly inexpensively.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
