The other Filipina was asking the flight stewardess for assistance with her luggage that was tightly lodged on the overhead compartment. The stewardess which was in her late 40's rudely told her that she can't lift anything heavy whatsoever and she should ask someone else to help her. I was shocked!!! unsure.gif

I am no fan of the airlines, but I do have to tell you that some passengers have way too much weight in their carry on. The flight attendants can help you accommodate the luggage, but the passenger should do the lifting of their own bags.

If you can't lift it you have no business bringing it into the aircraft.

I'm sorry and don't take this personal, but it's Delta's fault you were fatigued? That's called jet-lag and not drinking enough water. And its all airlines policy that flight attendants can't lift peoples heavy bags. Sorry to hear about your bad experience

Not taking it personally. Not at all.biggrin.gif Funny, I only remembered it just now when I read this thread. Maybe I should have phrased it differently, when I wrote 'bad experience' I meant, it wasn't a fun experience. You know what, policy is policy. But did she have to be rude? That was my point.

I agree, mine was so light as I barely brought anything with me from PI. Why pay for extra baggage fee? When I could buy more clothes & stuffs here.

Delta is ok but I prefer Korean Air. The cheap coach seat on Korean air gets much of the same treatment as the First class seat on Delta.

I agree we are flying the USA-Korea-Cebu KAL flight in a few weeks. Great airline. Shortest time to get there

If you are flying coach, it makes no difference. Service sucks in all airlines, in coach, beginning with the seats themselves.

I have never flown coach on an international flight before. I am about in 3 weeks. Should I be scared :)

It is easy. I took that route last August and had no issues. I am more of a fan of Asia Airlines as Flight Attendents are nicer and not bitter old folks with Delta tenure. I did have decent Flight Attendents from Japan to Detroit this time so all in all an improvement from former flights I had.

No issues when hitting Japan as you need to go through another security check so it is some walking. Just follow the cattle call line lol as that is what it seems. Have your passport and boarding pass ready. Detroit Customs and Immigration seems easy each time for me.

Good luck

Yep be scared. If there is a problem on the flight they use the coach passengers as airbags for the fist class passengers  Joke na! At 3 bills I was the largest airbag on my return flight last August,,, another  or  Flying is easy. relax and enjoy the boredom.. Just think of your sweety waiting for you in USA.....

I have flown on many different airlines with no major complaints, but last year chose Delta because of the price. It was DFW to Detroit-Nagoya-Manila and back. I must say that without a doubt, they were the rudest, least helpful attendants I have ever encountered. And it wasn't just on one leg of the flight either, it was on all. I said at the time that I would row to manila in a boat before I ever went Delta again, but what the heck, you get what you pay for and I did save a lot of money and am still alive to tell about it.

I am very close to three bills myself. My wife is close to 1 bill. I am hoping since she is going with me I will 1.5 seats and she will have .5. So your close to 300 and ou made it in coach ? If that is what I am hearing then you have made my stress level go down.

Two Biz class tickets are over 12K. I just can't pay that right now.

for those of you that are going every few years. Get a Koran Air visa. You get a lot of miles for signing up. I pay everything on it I can. Next time we go we will have enough miles for two free tickets.

Coach seat on Korean Air included.

Slippers so you can take off your shoes and don't have to get your feet or socks dirty.

Hot moist towels to refresh your self.

Wine with the meal.

Food: Meals yes, but also between meal snack.

Real forks, spoons, plates and glasses. (not plastic)

Tooth brush and tooth past to clean up before you land.

Breath mints.

Eye shades to help you sleep if you have trouble sleeping with any lights on like I do.

Served juice and water about every 20 mins to keep everybody hydrated. And this is not served from a big cart. It was hand carried so it was still easy to get to the toilets or just take a walk to stretch your legs.

Attendant monitoring the toilets. Toilets were cleaned about every 3 passenger. Even the toilet paper would be triangle folded on the end like in better hotels.

When I have found details like these they are typically only included in business or first class seats on Delta.
