Hello fellow VJ's. :star: After searching this topic, I wasnt able to find any results from someone who went thru an interview, so I may be asking an old question.

The question regards using a Tax Return Transcript or a Tax Account Transcript. It appears that from previous years posts that it depends on the country. So Im looking for Manila requirements. Both Transcripts have the required information for the Consul to approve our Co-sponsor, which is income, SSN, Name and Address. This information supports and gives proof that the information we filled in on the I-864 form is correct and official. To most people it makes no difference and will just use the Tax Return Transcript to be safe. But our issue at hand for us is confidentiality. The SSN's and other private info is on the Return Transcript but not on the Account Transcript. So please remember this in your replies. And the reason we like the Transcript option is because they do not require copies of W2's and 1099's when a transcript is used. This instruction is stated in the recent Petition Approval packet we received recently in the mail. But we know that experience is the best proof.

Also, does anyone know what happens to the case file after the interviewer grants approval for the visa. Does the tax documents get seen only by the Immigration Consul that does the interview? And then does the file get sealed in a brown envelope, sent to us with the visa and then taken by us on the airplane to be submitted to the immigration authorities in Los Angelos,CA. (BTW, the above process was the explanation given by the Manila Visa help line operator)

Thanks in advance for your blessed help.
