what size are the pipes, the inner diameter?

If of a certain size, can purchase either a trombone cleaner or a french horn cleaner,

and scrub via the brush.

Wow people can't give a straight answer how stupid is this site becoming? Lol

Hiya ! Please give exact make, model, COA on the water cooler, and I can do a cross-reference.

otherwise - uh - seek a service professional in your local area.

Flush it with a solution of water and Clorox and let the solution sit in the pipes for a few minutes. Flush it with a solution of vinegar and water to neutralize the chlorine. Flush with clean water.

Thanks for the input I am doing research online too. I like to save my water cooler hope I won't die from the thing lol.

You are not putting tap water through it, are you? Even those dispensers outside the local market are questionable. There should not be any build-up as long as you are using bottled water only. If you keep refilling the bottles, you will get all kinds of nasty things growing there. Plastic is porous, and a good medium for bacteria.

I use bottled water and I see lots of build up I have to clean out. Should I ditch it and buy a new one? Or still clean it out very good?

Is it just white flaking stuff? If yes, dump all the water out, and pour a gallon of white vinegar into the reservoir, and let some run through the taps. Let it sit overnight. Dump out the vinegar. Run clear water through a few times to get rid of the vinegar taste. That should get rid of the mineral deposits.

It the stuff is black, or green, then mix bleach at a ratio of 1 part bleach and 3 parts water in a sprayer. Wear some eye protection and gloves. Spray the bleach solution onto the dark stuff until it disappears. Pour the remaining solution into the reservoir and run it through the taps. Flush all that bleach out with clear water several times. To get rid of the bleach taste and smell, put some baking soda in some water, and rinse it with that. Rinse again with water, and you should be ready to go.
