I'll be sending my I-134 packet very soon too, and I plan to use either FedEx or DHL. Yes, it's much more expensive than USPS, but I have had items get lost using USPS before and the $100+ that I'll spend at FedEx/DHL is cheap insurance when mailing a packet containing your entire financial landscape/history. Well worth it!

I plan to ship my supporting documention to my fiancee tomorrow for a September 7 interview. Is FedEx a reliable carrier in the Philippines? The package will go to Quezon City. Should I write "visa documents" enclosed on the package? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Yes I used them several times. Perfect every time. Write documents on the package is fine Most of the stuff you send can be scanned and sent electronically then printed there to save money.

This is so true. That's why I always use DHL. Yes, it costs more but I like being able to track the package and see where it is. I have also heard of stuff getting stolen or go missing using usps/phil post. One good example is I ordered some simple raspberry keytone because my mahal thinks she is fat. Doesn't most women think that way? HEHEHEHE. But I ordered it on 7 August, and USPS says it shipped out of Jamaica NY on the 8th of August. My fiance still has not gotten it yet. It goes to show how slow USPS/Phil Post is.

Exactly! When using USPS to mail items to Cebu (birthday cards, hand-written letters, etc...) we consider ourselves lucky if it gets there in 4 weeks. It's usually more like 6. That's if it gets there at all. I've heard some of the same stories about philpost workers "inspecting" packages a little too closely....on the inside. Hahaha. No way I'm sending my financial documents like that.

I've been wishing I could use LBC ever since my fiancee told me about them, but unfortunately there aren't any branch offices in my state. They do seem very reliable and cheap.

Yea I know what you mean by having them in your area. We are lucky being in Southern Cali, they are all around. Hopefully they will branch out in your area soon. They are reliable being a Philippine Carrier and easier to get through Customs there.

Well, thats good. You can keep on tracking it too so that you can tell your fiance when she should get it. Fedex website is pretty much very updated when i was tracking my package. Its expensive but it is worth it rather than spend less money, then the docs never go through. Hope this works out for you. Good luck!

I am tracking it and it left ANCHORAGE, AK at 12:53 pm. It is scheduled to arrive in Cubao on Monday at 5:00 pm

Yes it was. I am so plesed with FedEx and the $105.76 was well spent. Also what helped is that the package was delivered to a business address (her place of employment).
