certified copies only?

For the birth and divorce certificates for my fiane and I, we are asked for copies. But it is not clear to me if Certified Copies are necessary or just unofficial copies. Thanks all.....

For my I-129F submission I used just copies. You will need Certified copies for the interview, however.

You need copies of the certified ones you get from the courts. Take a copy and the original one you get from the court with you to the interview. Never have them keep your originals because you most likely will not get them back. If it is for the interview, no translations from Spanish are needed. If you are sending them with the initial I-129F petition, they need to be translated to English.
